Do not be demotivated for the black pieces, because it seems they are a lot, but they're not. It's simply amazing. It's so satisfactory to do this puzzles, it's beautiful and so interesting. Not easy and not too difficult, I would say, it's just perfect.Update: yes, the black pieces are a total pain because they are a lot. It is like being blind while doing a puzzle. Have not finished it yet.

It’s a very large jigsaw and you need very good light to put it together. Eventually we gave up as only black pieces have left and we couldn’t see the delicate black shades. Beautiful jigsaw none the less!

purchased to fill in time during lock down. Central area good to do but the black putter edged are featureless and is a case of trial and error s real thankless task.

We had a National Gallery Collection jigsaw previously and based on the quality of that one we purchased another. We were somewhat disappointed with the quality, there were a good number of pieces that were marked or damaged, not what I would have expected from a new jigsaw.

Beautiful jigsaw- As stated in previous reviews the black areas are difficult and a lot of patience is needed. Worth persevering with as the end result is lovely.

You might think like me, this is a lovely jigsaw, until you see that there are only two basic cut shapes and one of those is the edges. It has almost no differentiation between the pieces and a huge area of black. I have never given up on a jigsaw before but this one is awful!

The most difficult jigsaw I’ve ever attempted, because there is so much black background and a lot of the pieces are almost identical, so it’s almost impossible to work out which piece goes where, so there wasn’t the satisfaction of finding the ‘right’ piece for the gap. The colours of the jigsaw also don’t match the colours in the picture so it’s hard to use it as a guide. I managed to complete all of the flowers but gave up with the top black area. First time ever I’ve given up on a jigsaw out of sheer boredom. Some of the pieces were not cut through and very difficult to separate without tearing the pieces, and some of the pieces were already delaminated. Wouldn’t purchase this make again.

Bought for my hubby he loves jigsaws..this was no 82 completed during lockdown...hd found this to br a real challenge...not for the faint hearted due to the black background....but hey if you've got the patience.!
