An excellent bundle. Both products deliver.Do not pay attention to the knuckle dragger who condemns the Etymotics because of the filters or the Lt. Uhura look.If a modicum of care is exercised* the filters need never be changed; and if the earpieces are inserted PROPERLY they do no sit out of the ear any more other ear buds. And, frankly, far less than many others.These earphones are to be inserted into the ear canal. The sound and experience will take your breath away (Given, of course, the quality of the recording.)*a) Prior to insertion one should thoroughly clean one’s ears. b) After use one should remove and wipe off the tips, then run a toothpick through them back to front.Following this practice will obviate the need for new filters. (My last pair of Etymotics (ER.6i) lasted me five years without filter changes.)P.S. DO NOT get a copy of ABBA Gold and listen to ‘Take A Chance On Me’: you will listen to this to such an extent that your work will suffer, you will ignore your family and friends, civilization as you know it will come to an end!I cannot speak to how either he X1 or the Etymotics compare to far more expensive High Resolution players and earphones, but I can tell you without hesitation that this is a great buy in both quality and economically.Enjoy.J R
