ease of use

This stand off is good quality and good value. However be aware that when placed against a newly painted light coloured wall, the black rests will leave a black mark which is difficult to remove. Some masking tape wrapped over the plastic rest will help to prevent the problem

I have no hesitation in recommending this product. I purchased this to help me feel secure using the ladder at height, and it achieves this easily once attached to the top of a ladder.There are some notes of caution, because I deem this to be a safety critical item, so extra caution and care is advisable.Unfortunately, the flat packed delivery comes without assembly instructions, so you have to look carefully at the photos of the product to deduce the assembly sequence and correct orientation of the components. This is a little frustrating but careful observation of the photos will allow you to assemble correctly.Having achieved the assembly of the safety arm, attaching it to the top of a ladder is also straightforward, but again no instructions, so look at my photo for a view of how to best achieve the attachment.Once in use, it is really effective, and the ladder feels more stable, and less prone to sideways slippage at height. Treat yourself and feel more secure when working at height around your home.

Good solid product, only downside is the rubber feet mark painted walls so needed covering.
