It takes work to determine the correct configuration
You must be very very diligent when you determine the adjustments (with or without the flat height adjustment foam panel and the front to back orientation of the pillow). Some of the combinations you try will be very obviously unsuitable. Those remaining combinations must be evaluated over at least 5 nights, taking care to log your impressions immediately upon awakening. I found my best configuration after about 3 weeks of testing. With my selected configuration and about 1 month of use, my persistent neck pain was almost totally eliminated and my wife reported that she no longer notices my snoring. I seem to sleep better and longer. I have discontinued use of the CPAP, it was of limited usefulness as I was never able obtain a good seal. I performed a statical analysis of the CPAP data over 30 days and found that I was very close to the incidents/hour criteria for determining whether I was a candidate for that therapy. There are other criteria used to determine sleep apnea that I could not evaluate, but I did see significant variation in the 30 day data I obtained for the CPAP monthly report, which could explain the results of my sleep study. The pillow was helpful, the CPAP, not so much. I am. an engineer, not a physician, this is my opinion of the pillow and my experience with the pillow and CPAP, and should not be taken as medical advice.

Believe the Hype – The Perfect Pillow, CPAP users or non-CPAP users!
After two years of searching for the perfect pillow, I finally found one that checked all the boxes—comfort, support, size, weight—you name it. Then, in an unexpected twist, I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and started using a nasal CPAP mask. My “perfect” pillow suddenly became a problem, constantly dislodging my mask and causing air leaks throughout the night.Enter this CPAP pillow—and let me just say, believe the hype. This pillow is an absolute game changer. Not only does it fully accommodate my CPAP mask (no more leaks!), but it’s so thoughtfully designed that I would recommend it to anyone, even those who don’t use a CPAP. The cutouts are perfectly placed, the weight and size are ideal, and the ability to customize the firmness and height is a brilliant touch. It even comes with an extra pillowcase—such a simple, appreciated detail that speaks volumes about the care that went into this product.Sleep has become something I look forward to again. I never thought I'd say that.If you're on the fence, don't be. This pillow is perfection.

Too firm until extra insert was removed
When I first tried using the pillow, I used it as shipped from the factory with the extra 1.5" insert installed. As has been noted by many other reviewers, the pillow was uncomfortably firm. However, once the insert is removed from the casing, the pillow expands to its full potential and is now comfortable. I use the pillow without the insert, but if you need the extra height provided by the insert, place the insert below the pillow, not inside the casing. You can put both in a regular pillowcase if you wish.Once I got the firmness adjusted, I found the pillow to be helpful with CPAP masks. The pillow is much more narrow than a standard pillow, but this allows you to roll from right side to back to left side without moving either the pillow or the centerline of your head. The cutouts on the side allow space for the CPAP mask while keeping your head fully supported. While the pillow is most useful with full face masks, it can also be used with nasal cradle and nasal pillow masks. It is my understanding that memory foam should not be washed in the washing machine. The casing can be washed, but it is best to spot clean the pillow as needed using a damp cloth.

Improved CPAP use
It may take a few attempts to learn how to use the pillow comfortably but once you do, you will be quite satisfied. Admittedly have used only a short time, but it will hopefully wear well over time. Was having trouble getting hose in a good position that was not tugging and pulling while trying to use CPAP. Was having difficulty building up time using. First night using pillow I was able to log more time using CPAP and it has steadily improved. Bonus: morning neck pain is nearly gone. Expensive but worth the investment

Quality and Great Customer Service
While I couldn't use this pillow because of neck issues, I gave it five stars for the following two reasons:1. The pillow and cases are made of quality material. There are two cutouts, small and large, to accommodate different kinds of CPAPs.2. The customer service is OUTSTANDING! I left a message for the seller and was contacted the very next day. The person I had contact with couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating.Even thought this pillow didn't work for me, I highly recommend you give this quality pillow a try.

Falls short of purpose
Overall as a pillow, pretty nice. I've got used to using it and enjoy it. My first time with memory foam.As far as the CPAP function goes, absolutely silly. The cutouts are in the wrong place and useless. Maybe it was designed by giraffes with sleep apnea.Im okay with using it and as a simple pillow now and do. Way over priced without any CPAP benifit.

Can use no matter what position you sleep and use cpap.
Pillow is very similar to the one I purchased 7 or 8 years ago. Have been unable to find one I liked until I saw this one. I’m a person who sleeps some in all positions so finding the perfect pillow has been almost impossible . Have been using this one a couple of weeks and am very happy. Would recommend it to all cpap users.
