Wine Opener Gift Set with Lever Corkscrew Opener, Foil Cutter and 2 Bottle Stoppers

I purchased this product to replace my rabbit ears. At first it worked pretty well but after a month and a half it is completely trashed. Pieces fell off this thing during the time and then eventually the cork only came out 3/4 of the way when using this device to extract the cork. Near the end I couldn't remove the cork from the unit without pliers. I recycled it yesterday.

I'm not sure what the procedure is for correcting a previous review that I have found was possibly too harsh. Just want to say that at the time I sent that negative review of the WINOZE, I had tried my darnedest to open several bottles of wine (following directions to the letter), with zero luck. I'm glad that I stuck the Winoz in the pantry rather than throwing it out right away. Several weeks passed, and I thought I'd give it another try, not expecting much. Without reading the directions again, I just gripped that Winoze opener around the wine bottle in my own creativemanner and squeezed the blank out of it. Couldn't believe it. The cork came out. . . And it came out the next time. So I'm going to give it a 5 now, even though I still stand by the fact that the first time attempt, following directions exactly (even gripping hard), did not work.

Operator error maybe. But followed the instructions and the spiral auger would go only partially into the cork.Gave up and went back to the barman's standby. Doesn't break and the cork comes out every time!

Works great. The included "stoppers" are a great bonus.

Julie,I am retuning it today as a faulty piece of equipment. I notice that it is identical to the other faulty wine opener I bought – The Havana. Both were packaged nicely and both had a similar description, although worded differently. The design flaw is simple. The opener simply does not extract the cork all the way. It stops short and then you have to struggle to get the last 1/4 inch out of the bottle – resulting in frequent broken corks. The remaining cork then has to be removed from the bottle, presenting the opportunity for disaster. The design fix would be simple – provide a longer throw for the extraction. I have tried every time for a work-around. No luck. Perhaps the corks on my wine are longer – Malbec Altos del Plato by Terrazas, Argentina. Your wine opener simply won’t work on these bottles. I am sure there are others as cork size is pretty universal (I used to produce my own wine).Steve Bingham

This is the best wine opener set. Easy to use, even for a weakling like me! Easy release of cork is also greatly appreciated. If you are having trouble using this opener, then it's user error. This is the easiest opener I've ever used! Please ask questions so that you can enjoy this as much as I do (and, no, I wasn't paid to write this review). I purchased approximately six months ago, and it's still going strong...AND I really like my wine.

I bought this for my wife because she thought it would be easier for her than our ScrewPull. But it does not extract the cork far enough so you end up having to wrestle the cork out. At first I thought it might just be an unconventional bottle/cork, but after struggling with it and about a dozen bottles we came to the conclusion that it just does not work. A complete waste of money. It must be a bad knock off of the original Rabbit cork puller, because I have used them at friend's homes without a hitch.

Opener works really well. It is built well and seems sturdy. Action is smooth. Came packaged well, it could make a nice gift. There is a spare corkscrew, Not sure how long the old one will last. Need to make a special mention that the vendor is super responsive
