Got this set for office.
This is a perfect set for my office! Still works great and like being able to see the water boiling. Use the grinder for grinding my coffee and dark chocolate to put in my coffee and to make hot chocolate. The grinder is easy to clean and is not too noisy. It is a good vale and so far seems to be of strong, durable quality.

Good enough for the price
This is a decent grinder. It's sturdy, easy to use and clean. My only problem with it has been it needing to grind beans longer in order to get everything down to grounds size, which means that sometimes some of the coffee is ground to espresso sized grounds. But they still brew, and for its price it's quite good.

Love it
Fast grinding. If I fill it up to the rim of the stainless steel bowl with beans, that makes enough grounds for my 12 cup coffee pot, nice and strong. That's my new measurement style. No fuss, no measurement error, no worries, just a fast grinder for a full pot of coffee.

Motor burned out after only 4 uses...
I purchased this grinder a couple of weeks ago and used it for the first time about 4 days ago. I wasn't very happy with it to begin with because I use an AeroPress at home and I only grind one cup worth of beans at a time. This grinder was so powerful that it wouldn't grind the beans up fine enough for a single cup. That being said, I do suspect that if I had been trying to grind an entire pot worth of coffee I would have had better results. (Note, however, that it did also give my coffee a bit of a burnt taste.) Additionally, it was far too bulky and an absolute hassle to clean. I live in a pretty small apartment and this took up much more space on my counter than I initially expected. Because the grinds are so uneven, there were such small particles inside that it was impossible to get them all out between uses. All of that aside, as I began grinding some beans for today's cup of coffee, it literally stopped working a few seconds into the grind and began smoking at the base. Only getting four uses out of it sets a new record for poor quality. Moreover, this thing might actually be a fire hazard as far as I'm concerned. If you want an automatic grinder, spend the extra money and get the Krups grinder. That's the one I've got at my other apartment and it has never let me down. As for me, I already ordered a small hand grinder.

Depends on what you want to use it for
The ad says coffee beans, spices, and more. I got it to grind three things - whole cloves, dried minced onions, and some horse-pill-sized supplements. I do not recommend grinding whole cloves. It ground everything very well - almost too well. In the case of the dried minced onion and the supplement, curls of very fine dust (and a lot of it) floated out as soon as I opened after grinding. This is dangerous to breathe in. In the case of the whole cloves, which is the first thing I used this with, it left a residue on the inside plastic part of the rim, and the abrasion from the grinding of the cloves sandblasted the inside of the clear lid - it is no longer clear, and has a light sandblasted texture: my concern is microplastic bits left in the ground-up cloves. I don't know if there is, but it is obviously somewhat likely. No matter how much I wipe out the bowl, this thing now smells permanently of clove and onion. And the plastic rim at the top of the bowl, permanently stained brown from the cloves, and still smelling of cloves. So, as a grinder, it works GREAT. But, don't try whole cloves. And maybe leave it dedicated to one thing, like coffee beans, since it appears the odors cannot be gotten rid of. I can recommend this grinder if you are keeping it dedicated to one thing only, such as coffee beans, so that you don't have to worry about trying to get the odors out of other things. It's also difficult to clean, in general, because you can't take out the bowl, and you can't really get under the blades to clean there. It's a cute model; I like how it looks so much cuter than other grinders. It's also cute in white. So many of the other grinders are only offered in black. Sometimes color variations, even neutral ones, are a nice option.

Great little mini-mill
I bought this to process cat food, and it works great. It's much quieter than most I've seen, and does a good job of breaking things down. I know some people have commented about the fact it doesn't come apart for cleaning, but haven't found that to be a problem. The lid can be submerged in soapy water. The base cannot because of the motor housing, but there are no loose seams or openings inside where food can get trapped. I wash it with a wet soapy sponge, rinse it with running water and it cleans up well. It's a great little mill at a very good price!
