Great multitool for the price
I bought this as a gift for someone who wanted a Leatherman, but did not need the Cadillac of multitools. This has all the typical items such as a knife, bottle/can opener, file, Phillips and flat head bits. Pliers are spring loaded so they open by themselves. It also has an opening at the end of one of the handles for common multitool bits (sold separately). For $30 this was a steal. Gerber is a known name brand that makes quality products.

Great upgrade from the original
I purchased this to replace my original gurber suspention multitool. After many years of loyal service, the tools nubs became damaged. The suspention NXT is a welcome improvement to the original. Replacing the easily breakable nubs with metal nubs and holes.

Not bad for the money
Not your old Gerber, now made in China, but not bad for the money. I will look forward to seeing how it holds up. the locking mechanism is a bit hard to use, but maybe it will ease up with use.

Great multitool.
Bought one to put in my pack. In the past a bought a leathermen (also great) but way to bulky even when wearing it on a belt. This one is nice and convenient with a pocket clip. It has what I need. Will be buying another to put in the wife’s car.

Great Multitool for the price.
The locking mechanism is a must have. Has everything I need on it for my edc bag and for backpacking. Built solid.

Wow, much better than I anticipated.
I bought this as a Christmas gift. When it arrived and I checked it out i was impressed. I thought for the price it would be more flimsy or gimmicky but it's not. It is of the same quality as other Gerber pliers of larger size. I was real close to keeping this for myself and buying a different gift. Now I need to buy one for myself.

A Typical Gerber Product: Savings Not Worth the Compromises
Add me to the list of people with mis-alighted handles. It really comes down to what level of compromise you’re okay with. With this multi tool, the low cost means flimsy handles, tools that don’t move smoothly, torx tightening bolts that don’t allow you to adjust that tightness, plastic shavings trapped in the crevices, a locking mechanism that doesn’t work correctly unless your tool is repositioned at the far end of its extension range, a knife with (ugh) serration, and no case. Honestly, every Gerber product I’ve bought in the last couple of years has had flaws (the others were knives with brutal grind mistakes). If the $20 you save means you don’t get the ease and joy of using a leatherman sidekick or wingman, then that’s cool, but I feel like the knowledge that I didn’t cheap out for this Chinese-made halfway product. The good part is if you, like me, don’t like it, it won’t stress you out to leave it in your car 24/7 and carry a tool you can admire.

Nice , but has a few flaws.
It a nice multi-tool ..I did read reviews on it.Mixed at best.It was a good price.Has a bunch of good tools.Easy access , They all lock , accessible from outside. U don't need to open the pliers to use tools , best design for multi-tool is outside access. It's lightweight & seems sturdy.Thickness is good as well. It's design is well inspired, but it's over all build is a lil questionable, not the expected Gerber craftsmanship I'm use to.The handles don't line up when u close the pliers.Pocket clip is a lil loose as well. Not a proper snap when u flick the clip.Feels loose & light.Like I could bend it or just break it off.None of my other Gerber products are like this.My knives & other multi-tool are perfect.Never had a problem with them. This one looks like a knock off.Maybe its China made.I'm going to keep it anyway. It will stay in my truck & I'll use it as needed from day to day.I do love Gerber. There knives are awesome, its one of my most purchased brands of knives. There are more Gerber knives then any other brand in my collection. This multi-tool just doesn't seem like a Gerber.

Good for the price
I’ve never owned a multi-tool before and I didn’t know which one to buy, so I bought 4 for different use cases: Gerber dime + suspension nxt, leatherman micra + wave plus. The dime arrived first and is of great quality, so I had high hopes for the suspension nxt. However, like others have said, there is little quality control on these. The main complaint is the handles don't close flush. To fix this, I used a wrench to grab the pliers right between the legs, and with some force either pulled or pushed on opposite handles until they lined up again.Other issues such as an inconsistent use of force required to open the tools, some almost flip out with gravity whilst others are sticky, and the locking slider is very rough. It does have a nice texture though, like a matt silver, so feels nice in hand.Even though the leatherman wave is 3-4 times the price, I prefer it much more for edc. This will stay in my car for emergency situations.

has everything I need
All the tools work and knife was sharp. There is a bit of flex in the tool when folded up. The 2 handles have a bit of give which doesn't give me the most confidence. The locking system takes a bit of use to be easier to unlock and pull the tool back in. I tried to remove the belt clamp but the torx key used was not cut properly so I couldn't actually undo the screw which is a bit annoying. But mostly a good tool, convenient and comfortable to use. Only owned it for a week or 2 and have to use it multiple times as it is super convenient.
