Duofold Men's Mid Weight Wicking Thermal Pant

size issue
on the size chart on amazon page, it says for a small size it can fit 30"-32" waist however when I got the package, the box says something different for small it is actually 28"-30" waist. If I had known that, I would have ordered a medium size since it fits 32"-34" as it is shown in the picture.

Excellent thermals for everyday use in moderately cold weather (10-30 degrees F). Not for extreme cold/exercise. Great Product
These are excellent long johns or thermal underwear. They are fitted, mostly made of cotton, moderately warm and very comfortable. These are not the pants you want if you are an avid runner or bicycler looking to add an extra layer to protect yourself against the weather. For that purpose you should be looking into more synthetic fibers with better fluid wicking properties. These pants, however, are ideal for everyday wear. If you live in an area where the weather dips blow freezing you can throw these on under jeans or work pants and you will be comfortable all day long. They are rated more for moderate cold weather (think 10-30 degrees F, not minus 20 degrees F). I live in NYC and the weather hits 10 degrees F about 2-3x per year. I bought these thermals about 1 year ago but didn't get a chance to wear them until recently. This year the weather has been very cold for a while so I immediately bought 3 more pairs. They are worth the money, simple, comfortable, and generally a quality product.

Fits Great... If you're shaped like Gru.
I was going to write my own review of this, but decided to quote another reviewer that pretty much nailed it."The pattern of these pants seems to have been created by someone who does not really know what human beings are shaped like. The overall length of the pants from waist to cuff fits my height just right ...theoreticallyThe waist band is the right width and sits comfortably - no pinching no sagging... etc.Likewise, the cuffs at the lower leg cradle snuggly but without scratching or chaffing or cutting circulation or any discomfortEverything is theoretically lovelyBUTThe length from the waist to the "fork" of the legs only makes sense if you like to pull the waist of your pants to somewhere around your nipples.Really --these pants can only be worn by someone who is about 5'-5" and likes to wear his waist-band at nipple level."Terrible if you're looking for long underwear, but awesome if you want to give your significant other a good belly laugh by parading around in nothing but these.

Great buy and value! Honest review.
Review by 43 Year Old Man. Purchased Size: Small Me: 5’ 10.5” / 158 Pounds, Medium Build.I bought the small based on the ratings others gave about the product. They fit perfect and just as I wanted. Regarding saggy crotch issue: The one thing in buying long underwear is that big old saggy crotch. I hate that! I really don’t have a problem with the way the crotch fits, in fact, its really perfect. Not baggy and not baggy enough for me to complain about. Leg length is spot on. Waist is ok. Not crazy about the waistband, but knew it would be there, so, nothing bad to complain about. I wish the waistband was softer. Just for reference, if I buy jeans, I am usually buying 31”x31 Levi’s or 31X32 Wrangler, sometimes even a 32x30 depending on the brand. Condition: Perfect. No factory imperfections or holes and the top and bottoms were sewn perfectly. Ankle cuffs: They are a bit on the tighter side, but not so tight you can actually feel it and it isn’t bothersome. Perfect for when it come time to tuck into mucks or hunting boots. Wore thick wool socks and pulled these over them with no discomfort. Stayed in place too. Warmth is good, perfect for under jeans in the winter time. For hunting, I might consider something a bit heavier depending on the hunting pants insulation. I will be getting a few more pairs of these and after deer season I will follow up with another review. Hope this helps you guys out a bit.

Providing little support, but they will keep you warm
The Duofold top layers are absolutely top notch. However, the bottoms aren't perfect. These things work well in the sense that they keep you warm without overheating you during cold (sub zero Fahrenheit) climates, but they don't fit you that well in the area males would like the most support. It's pretty lose in that region. Now, you might say why not just wear regular underwear under it. Doing that would solve the problem, sure, but it was not an option for me as I was travelling with a 50L backpack and I did not have any room for regular underwear. Now that I'm back home, it's an option, but I feel these things should provide more support. I bought Duofolds way back in 2012 and they were more supportive and form fitting, which I liked a lot. It's not a bad purchase for the price, but if you want an all-in-one product, I'd spend the extra money to get maybe full or mostly synthetic thermal pants. Get the tops though--those are great!

Amazing comfort for ice fishing in the frigid Canadian North
I will start this review by saying that I have never been a fan of long underwear. I've tried different ones before, but didn't like the fit and feel. With a planned ice fishing trip to Canada quickly approaching, I checked the weather and found an unplanned cold front moving in. The highs for my fishing trip would be in the single digits, with lows well into the negative 20s (F). I figured I'd need an extra layer (or 12), I picked these up as they were well reviewed and affordable.I have now returned from the trip, and I can tell you that my legs were comfy and warm the whole time. I wore these under a fleece layer and then cold gear overalls. I had them on for 3 and a half days straight, without ever taking them off, and they remained comfortable the whole time. They also didn't smell after those nearly 4 days of wear. I am now a believer, and you will be too if you wear these on a cold backpacking or camping trip.

Pretty warm and very comfortable
I bought these for work and they are almost too warm at times. I am a mechanic in upper Michigan and in winter with the doors open and closing all the time you need something extra to keep warm. When nothing is coming in or out for a while and the shop heats up these are definitely nice and toasty. The material is very comfortable and soft. I really like these..

Low hanging fruit
I’m a 32 x 32 sometimes a 34 leg because I don’t like trousers to ride past my ankle up to my knee and blow a chillto my nethers every time I bend my leg. that being said The medium of these is a bit short in for me especially as the crotch hangs quite low so when wearing with trousers the leg rides higher, BUT it fits my waist nicely. The large was a bit loose on the waist but long enough for my legs so I wear the medium as pajamas. The actual quality of the item is very good and kept me warm at work during the cold months. My guesstimate on the size is medium would equal a 30 leg 32 waist and large 32x32. If you have long legs try the large, if you wear drop crotch jeans you might get away with a medium.

Great, but may need different size.
There are some detailed reviews so I'll keep mine short and sweet. They seemed to have changed the product, it no longer claims to be what it's not.So yeah its a cotton and poly mix, nothing wron with that I have worn standfields 50/50 mix at -50 for 12 years working northern oil patch.Feels good alot better then the all cotton ones, feels thicker than the standfields but not bulky.the fit is off for me personally but I am tall (6'6 and fit 220lb) so I'm returning them and trying one size up, fit snug so if your chunky and short you may want something not so tight. All in all I would recommend this product just as always with cloths sizing can be so difficult

The Fit is definitely Smaller and rather ODD! (sort of "hanging" with unnecessary room in our trunk)
ok, here is a quick review after I had a chance to use these over the course of 3 weekends when we went to the mountains snowshoeing etc. The fit is definitely OFF ... I usually wear pants size 32x32. Bought these in size "M" and: A) they are on a shorter site to begin with, and B) the upper area is very unusual…. it’s sort of "deep" so if you were to wear them like any standard-sized shorts, pants, etc. these sort of hang with unnecessary empty space in between. (If you were to pull them up i.e. to make them fit better, then you’d end up having them above your belly button!!) No idea what standards (if any) were followed when these were designed. Perhaps they were made for a completely different market –which was not disclosed to buyers?! Lastly, C) they were washed in COLD water by hand, and hang-dried, yet I can report that they shrank a bit. I wish I wore them more and washed them within the return period, in which case they’d definitely go back. The material itself feels good / warm.
