doesn't shut compleatly off
Review for Porter Cable "Rapid" charger (PCC692L).I noticed that when the charge light (on the charger) stops blinking (indicating a full charge) the battery isn't quite full, if you remove the battery from the charger within a short time of the light going solid, and than insert it again, it will go back to charging for about another minuet, I'm guessing the battery is at about 98% at that point, if you leave the battery on the charger for an hour or more after the light is solid than remove and reinsert the battery, the charge light immediately goes solid. According to the operating instructions, this charger is a "maintenance style" charger and continues to "tune-up" and "rebalance" the cells after the rapid charging is complete, so in theory you should be able to leave the battery in the charger 24/7/365 as long as the charger is plugged into a wall socket, personally I don't advise that because theory and reality don't always operate on the same wave-length. LolFYI,,,, keep in mind that some chargers will drain the charge out of a battery,,,,, if the battery is left in the charger after the charger is unplugged from the wall socket, it's advisable to "always" remove a battery from the charger when not actively charging.

Quick Charger
This model is a fast charger and it does much better than the dinky thing that Porter Cable now ships with its products. My only complaint is that there is no way to hang this up as there are no mounting slots on the bottom of the charger. I guess the Chinese engineers want to get even with us in small ways.
