Highpoint Small Box Ball Clasp Brass 1-1/2" X 1-5/8"

Needed to repair a broken clasp on a vintage chess board that closed like a box. Most of the clasps I looked at had the nail or screw holes to close together from the top part of the clasp to the bottom part. Since the old chess board/box did not close tightly I needed more leeway with were to put the screws that attach the clasp to the wood. This clasp worked perfectly and it even came with 2 extra screws in case you lost one (they were very small screws). Unfortunately I cannot add a picture as the chess set got wrapped and mailed to a relative for Christmas.

A little on the expensive side but looks and works great.

this clasp is very well made and very easy to install. it is a very easy means to keep a lid shut tight. I will be using it as a standard for most of my boxes from now on.

Okay for the price, but we were hoping for something more substantial in construction.

Bought this little ball clasp for my fathers freebie cheap humidor he got online with the purchase of some cigars. A nice way to keep a cheap humidor/jewelry box lid locked in place. It came with 2 extra screws (6 total) in case you lose some during the installation which was nice. Only minor complaint is that the screws are super tiny and could be a tad bit longer but worked for my application nonetheless. Thanks!
