Jack BlackLine Smoother 8% Glycolic Acid Treatment, 3.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)

I am one of those guys that rarely uses products, so I can't say I've tried a whole range of wrinkle reducers but I've tried some. As I have gotten older I have noticed more lines coming under the eyes so I've wanted to do something about it. I have tried primarily products advertised towards men (kiehl's, Baxter, jack black).This is my favorite wrinkle reducer or smoother or whatever you want to call it.ProsFor one it definitely smooths out the skin. Whatever puffiness I have is gone after using this product, and that's within a very short range of time.long term I have also noticed that the lines under my eyes are still there but they aren't as visible. it's like there is less contrast now between the lines and they almost blend in to my normal skin. You have to look much closer to see the lines.So this isn't necessarily a wrinkle/line remover, but it does exactly what it says and smoothes out the lines. I'll take that.Another pro that isn't necessarily for this product, but for jack black in general. I am finding that these formulas really work well for men. The facial cleansers, shampoos, body wash and this product seems like they just work great. It is now my favorite brand for personal care.ConsThis product is harsh. Do not... I repeat... do not use this product after shaving (I learned the hard way). It burns worse than any after shave i've ever used.Also, even though this is meant for the skin under the eyes, avoid getting it into your eyes at all costs because once again it's a bit harsh.From what i've read the glycolic acid in this product is what causes the burn, but it's definitely not soothing as other line smoothers I've used, but this one actually works so I'm sticking with this one.

I've been using jack black items for over a decade now. It's the only products I trust. Expensive but worth it.I'm turning 39 and still mistaken for my early twenties.

I have been using the Jack Black Double Duty moisturizer for around 8 years and I continue to use it but I developed very dry flakey skin on the sides of my nose, cheek, and eyebrow areas. It was getting bad and the sides of my nose/cheek we're always red. I tried other products, oils, nothing gave a permanent solilution.I tried the MP 10 nourishing oil from Jack Black and I'm on my second bottle. While it's a good product and works great for my beard and hair, it only provided temporary solution to the flakeyness of dry skin I was having. Still had a lot of redness.Then I decided to try the Line Smoother with 8% glycolic acid. I couldn't fine a whole.lot of reviews of it working well on dry skin or for my situation bit I took a chance on it and I was blown away. I saw immediate results upon the first 2 uses. I coukdnt believe how well and quickly it worked. The dryness and flaking skin has not come back and the redness quickly started going away finally giving me an even skin tone.This prodict is now an essential part of my routine. I put it on and night and also sometimes in the mornings then wait a few minutes before putting on the double duty moisturizer for the SPF protection during the daytime.If you are experiencing dry flakey skin with redness that won't go away, give this a try. I bought it on a whim hoping it would help me and now I can't live without it.

It's not perfect, but it does work and lasts a long time. My favorite part is zero irritation on my skin.10/10 would reccomend

I've been using this product now for 6 weeks and am very pleased with the results so far. I am 60+ yr old male that finally decided to take care of my skin. The results I've seen this far has been an improvement in my skin tone and also an improvement in the fine lines around my eyes. The pores on my nose appear to be smaller. One of the biggest improvements I've seen is that after 3 weeks of using this it has totally removed a sebaceous hyperplasia that I had on the side of my nose and cheek. I highly doubt that anyone would ever know it was there except maybe a Dermatologist during an exam. I do have 3 small age spots on my face that appear to have faded somewhat but have not totally disappeared, and I do realize this may take a little longer to see more of an improvement.The first 3 days I used the Line Smoother I applied it morning and night. My skin did not have a bad reaction.Then I started to use the Jack Black Double Duty Moisturizer in the morning and the Line Smoother at night which has since been my daily routine. I had never heard of Jack Black products until about a year and a half ago but am pleased with their products.My recommendation would be to try it, use regularly and be patient.

Don't be turned off by the price -- this bottle will last you a long time. Mine is about 4 months old and is still half-full (nightly use).The high glycolic acid percentage is a good sign this is an effective product. It does leave my skin feeling a bit tacky so I try to apply about an hour before bed as opposed to right before. Definitely read the directions: you should NOT use this as aftershave balm. The scent is very mild -- dare I say, none?However, I will say that I ultimately discontinued using this product after about a year. I wasn't seeing any positive or negative results, and at this price, it was hard to justify ordering more of it. Perhaps it's targeted at a different person.
