Tough
Works as intended. 2TB Drive has been working great. Will not break the Bank and adds a Backup between the Normal Backups. My old 500GB Transcend Drive I've had for many many years that's been tossed in Draws and Boxes and Dropped on the Floor more than it should have been and it's still going strong. A Magnetic Hard Drive is the extra bit of security with all the SSD Drives that may or may not last as long as a good old Spinning Drive. Backup then Backup again. Transcend is Tough.

Great Hardware, Crappy online support & PACKAGING.
I already have a transcend HD from a couple of years ago. My new Transcend took a half an hour to format. Mac Utilities had some problems erasing HD – in some cases not recognizing device and ‘erasing errors’.After several more tries I finally got an ‘initialize disc’ request from my Mac and then was able to Erase/Mac/journaled the Transcend HD. Not sure if their software is up to date with Mac 10.14.3 – it sure wasa hard to re-format! I don’t see why their packaging or inserts do not contain fast start instructions, just tiny advertising, also the online resources are lacking ( although they did get back to me in 24 hrs.). Great product though. The hardware guys got it right! A real PISSER is the packaging and serial/model##s – SO microscopic !!! Is this a conspiracy to make us all go blind???

Compact drive that works with Externally Powered USB hubs and everything else
3 Terabytes is something I never thought I needed, but as data grows larger, so do your files and need for storage. This device works great out of the box, plugged it right in and instantly transferred 1.5 TB of data to it. It had no issues at all. Hopefully will have alot of longevity. I like the new design from the old Transend devices, they are using a USB-C (connects to the drive) to USB-A (connects to computer) instead of a proprietary one that used to fall out of the drive alot and cause connection issues even when plugged in. USB-C seems more snug and stays connected better.Overall great drive if you need alot of portable space. A+

Scam storage capacity. Not 4TB
Do not buy this. The storage is a rip off. Low storage i mean very low. For a 4TB you get 3.6TB. The installation needs internet. Design is okay. Drive quality is not so great. Transfer 10mb/s for an end to end file transfer. Toke me 3days11 hr to transfer 1.25TB. My picture showed a WD 4TB compared to a Transcend 4TB. The difference is so large i want to return it. But. I already transfer my file and am not waiting another 4 days.
