Extra peace of mind for brake fittings
I recently had a brake line rupture on an older vehicle that resulted in a potentially fatal near miss. It was a real wakeup call. When I replaced the entire braking system, I decided to pay close attention to every detail and use quality parts. I used this product on every fitting, and unlike Teflon tape, which is arguably an amateur's hack, this is made for the application. Of course, it's for many hydraulic applications, but when a braking system is so critical to your safety, your family's safety, and everyone else's, why mess around? Do it right.

Made what I though impossible come true!
Just got done using the Loctite 545 with primer 7471 (Required with stainless steel) and also used 5452 (Gel Version, No primer required) and they are awesome. What "I" key word "I" as a novice could not do with teflon tape and pipe dope these products were able to. Not only do they seal really well, but they also create a tight bond like other loctite glues. Again, these two products are specifically designed for Pneumatic use. IMOP, they are very expensive and not practical for everyday useI on a job site. I just got tired of taking my airline pipes, cleaning with wire brush and acetone and reassembling/assembling multipule times. I would like

SO glad to have finally found this stuff
Over the years I grew accustom to all of my air equipment having slow leaks. Teflon tape did nothing. After discovering this product, I am never going back. Now, I can fill up my 11 gallon tank, put it in the back of the garage, and use it to top off my tires for like 2 months before it needs to be refilled. Kid you not.

545 loctite thread sealant.
Needed this for head studs replacement on my Harley. Worked well good value for a mid sized bottle. Cap seals up nicely.

Works like it said it would
Bought an air hammer and using teflon tape the 1/4" fitting kept leaking and this did the trick. However there are some things you need to know:1: This is an anaerobic adhesive so it won't cure in the presence of oxygen, and is also why the bottle is half full. Don't worry, you didn't get ripped off, it's like that so it doesn't cure in the bottle.2: The parts need to be clean, so use the recommended cleaner/degreaser. Yeah, it's kid of expensive but it works.3: Use the recommended activator, especially if you're using it on stainless steel parts as it won't cure properly. Ask me how I know...Actually, you don't have to ask me, it's because the fittings I used on the air hammer were stainless and it wouldn't cure/dry until I used the activator. Worked like a charm. Yeah, I know it's expensive, which is why i gave it 4 stars instead of 5, but it works. Sealed the leak and as a test I removed the fitting a few days later with relative ease. Just took a bit more force with the wrench, but no heat or power tools needed.

Leak Proof
It can be a shock looking in the bottle and thinking about the price you paid, but it's well worth it. I've never had a fitting leak when properly cleaned and this stuff applied.
