Clear coat made it blurry , but gold is better

Apply light coats
I used it on my chrome rims and trim pieces, applied 2 to 3 LIGHT coats and I had a Gold finish.

Exactly How Old Is This Paint?
Exaclty how old is this paint? The box looks faded from its original color, the date at the bottom of the box states “Assembled On 09/24/12”. On top of all this as shown in the picture the paint leaked near the cap. When I sprayed the first light coat(as shown in directions as well as Youtube Videos) the paint seems old, runny and watery. Humans are paying $27 for this kit. I need answers!
