Don't Be Afraid!
I bought this phone for my wife, not certain about the quality. After all, it's not even a semi-known brand and I couldn't find many independent reviews of either the company or the model. Still, the specs looked outstanding for the price, so I figured for less than $100 it was worth a shot.I needn't have worried. In the month she's been using it, she's not experienced any problems. It has performed flawlessly without any crashes or hang-ups. The lack of bloatware (the only non-Google app pre-installed is an FM radio, more on that in a bit) undoubtedly helps in that regard. The camera is excellent, although the front camera suffers in low light. That's hardly a deal breaker and is something I've found pretty common with handsets in general. We use Ting as our carrier (if you haven't tried them, check them out and see how much you might save!) and have had excellent coverage pretty much everywhere we've gone. For side by side comparison, I use a Galaxy S5. The signal strength on the Atrium as I write this show -108dBm, while on the Galaxy it is -105dBm. That's close enough for government work, as the saying goes. The WiFi reception actually seems better on the Atrium, as rooms I have difficulty with reception on the Galaxy are booming with the Atrium. We haven't had need to try out the dual SIM feature yet, although we are planning a trip to Canada this summer and will find that feature very helpful, I'm certain. The only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is battery life. It isn't terrible, but it will need to be charged at least once throughout the day with typical use.Oh, about that FM radio: my wife isn't much for streaming music apps, but she loves the FM radio. You need to use the headphones (included in the box) as an antenna, but the reception is decent. All in all, I definitely have no qualms about recommending this phone to anyone.

FIGO Atrium 5.5 tech support?
October 1, 2016I had this phone for 5 months, then it just stopped booting up. Got stuck on the Figo splash screen. Unable to get a reply from Figo's tech support on Saturday 10/01/2016 but I did hear on Monday 10/03/2016 from Joe.October 3, 2016Heard from Figo tech support (Joe) today. Given an RMA# to return my phone. Moved SIM card back into my BLU studio phone. Paid approximately $12 for shipping to CA via USPS.October 7, 2016Heard from tech support that my phone was received and being evaluated by their techniciansOctober 7, 2016Heard from tech support that my phone's OS was updated, apps checked, and the phone was being shipped back to me. It included a USPS tracking number so I could follow its progress.October 10, 2016Received my repaired Figo Atrium 5.5 in the mail (USPS). Inserted my SIM & SD cards. Turned on phone & activated my phone service. All my APPS were reinstalled. Phone is working GREAT. Tech support did a good job! Have to give them credit for their promptness on the repair and for staying in contact along the way. I have elevated my rating to a 5 star. The phone is running very well at this time. Will post if anything changes. Most of the delay in this repair was from "snail mail". Figo tech support acted quickly to diagnose, repair, and return my phone. As a bonus, I received a plastic case, not the cardboard wallet style that came with the phone. Now it's very easy to slide in & out of my pocket. Thanks Joe!October 23, 2016Well, phone was working good for the first week, then it started to go very slow. I wasn't sure what was causing the problem. I decided to restore the phone to factory settings to cleanup my installed apps. I've been very careful not to add too many apps at the same time so I can be sure what caused the slowness. Another week has gone by and it's working great again.January 16, 2017My phone is still up and running well. Any slowness must have been my apps. Would still like more choices on plastic cases.I stand by my 5 stars for this Figo 5.5!April 14, 2017Haven't quite made it to a year from purchase date. My Figo is on the "blink" again. Contacting tech support today. Was repaired October 2016.May 27, 2017I didn't send my phone back to Figo back because I was in need of it and it did cost $12 the last time I sent it. The battery was getting very "hot" when charging. Figo support contacted me, and dismissed my problem when I did not reply. I ended up keeping the battery out of the unit overnight. It seemed to help with the battery heating up. The phone then started performing very slowly: emails, text messages, webpages opening . . . I'm going to reset the phone for the 4th time in less than a year. I believe I need to downgrade this to 4 start. Will comment after resetting my Figo 5.5 Atrium.

A lot of phone for the money
I was looking to get phone service for an upcoming trip to Guam. I was surprised to learn that none of the U.S. carriers have roaming agreements with Guam's three carriers. I decided to see what Guam's carriers offered. I decided to use DoCoMo Pacific. They offer a Tourist SIM for unlimited talk, text, and 3.5G data for $25 for 5 days. For more money, I can get 4G-LTE. They only use LTE channel 17. So, I looked for an unlocked GSM phone with channel 17. DoCoMo sells the Figo Atrium 5.5 for about USD$90.I found this on Amazon for $69. It is a thin phone with a bright 5.5 inch screen. Dual SIM slots, plus a micro SD slot. It has a removable lithium battery. Its processor and memory aren't as good as my LG G5. Sometimes a key press is slower to respond. The audio is loud and clear. (I use hearing aids.) As I have found with other dual SIM phones, the SIM you choose to be "non data" will only work on the 2G band, which means no AT&T. T-Mobile still has 2G service. The display is very bright. Indoors at night, I lower the brightness. The phone has Mobile Hotspot capability; something I make use of.Sorry there isn't more detail. The phone works well here in Michigan. When I go camping "up north" I hope to get coverage with T-Mobile's LTE Band 12.Voice quality isn't great.
