If you spent enough money to get an MV7 you've obviously set a goal for decent and easy to set up audio. Well, nothing ruins audio like bumping your mic stand or desk, and this does a great job at stopping those oops moments. It's also very lightweight, so easy to carry around, and not a concern for tipping your mic stand anymore than the mic by itself would. I actually bought the MV7 package with the little desk tripod, and this works great with it, no modifications needed.

I have a Classic Rock radio show and my voice was rumbling through my old shock mount and that ain't no good professional radio, Harriet.This shock mount is extremely sturdy, can be mounted in any position, and does what it's supposed to: keep my mic-rumbling voice isolated.

This is an OK Shock Mount. It's not the best. Not sure what I expected for the price but it does not do great job of eliminating vibration noise to the MV7. I have it on the end of a desk mounted arm and it picks up every single vibration on the desk. I even loosened the elastic a bit to see if that would compensate. Just a heads up. Not sure if any other solutions would be any better, hence the 3 stars as the MV7 is so sensitive.

I had no particular expectations about this boom, as I got it as part of an experimental setup, but I don’t recommend it.It is lightly built and what you should expect for such a low price. The biggest irritant is the shallow toy-like clamp, which has a difficult time securing to any surface and uses a thin pad on the upper clamp surface attached by weak adhesive.If you are serious enough about your recording to use a boom-mounted mic, you shouldn’t consider this product.

A perfect fit, very sturdy, im confident traveling with my mic know, build quality is pretty pretty good (Larry David’s voice). Overall im very happy with this purchase!
