I have a bob with undercut for a reason--I Can't Be Bothered. I can't be bothered to blow dry and *then* straighten my hair, nor can I be bothered to juggle a blow dryer and brush at the same time (and it never looks the same as when a stylist can do it, right?).I love this thing. I chose it specifically after googling "best air brush for short hair," and preferred it over other brands I've seen in stores, after opening the product to see the barrel size. This gets my hair smooth, shiny, and with more volume (not difficult on my short hair, I will admit) than I've gotten myself. Even if I've gone to bed with wet hair, and woken up to use this on now dry and lumpy hair, it still got it passably smooth to not look like a hot mess at school drop-off.Furthermore, I wasn't even the first person to test drive it; went on vacation with my sister, who Can Be Bothered with mermaid-length hair, and hers is thicker than mine, too. She said it dried her hair in about half the time it normally takes her. Hey, I think I just got a Christmas gift idea!As someone who purged a lot of household items, being ruthlessly realistic as far as how often and to what degree I'm going to heat-style my hair, this has been a great product to swap two out for one.

When I was in college, I used to have a curling brush that was so much easier to use than a curling iron. I'm not good at curling my hair but I was looking for something that would give my hair a little bounce and maybe curl the ends like my old curling brush. I did some research and decided to try this brush. I was excited to learn that it wasn't just a heated brush but also a drying brush. I first start by removing the brush head and simply dry my hair. Then I reattach the brush and I lift the roots of my hair with the brush to create volume. The volume that this brush creates to my typically flat and lackluster hair is mind blowing! I'm not good at curling my hair but this brush does EXACTLY what I needed it to do: add volume and a little curl at the end of my layers. I only use the high setting when I'm drying my hair but I use the low setting when styling. I agree with others who have said that the high setting is really hot. This is the best thing I've ever used on my hair and my hair hasn't looked this healthy in a long time!

The Hot Tools Pro round hair dryer is very practical, but, very hard to turn on and off, specially if you have problems with your hands. Also it would be nice if it had a medium temperature

Before buying this, I looked around the internet. I also asked my hairstylist what he thought of the combination hair dryer/brush devices. To be honest, I was always afraid that my thin, very fine hair would get damaged or tangled up in one of these contraptions. Well, I was wrong! This is absolutely my favorite thing for doing my hair. My stylist said they work. I found out after I bought it, that the brand Hot Tools is considered a very good one. My hair does not tangle at all when using this. In half the time it took with a typical blow dryer and round brush, my hair is smooth, dry and shiny. I know that people with super thick hair will still take quite a while to dry their hair, but I suspect this would cut the styling time even for them. It’s very gentle and perhaps not as loud as some typical blow dryers—but I wouldn’t call it quiet, either. It’s not loud enough to be particularly annoying. I’m getting a lot of compliments on my hair and I really enjoy using this dryer brush. I did read that a person using any heated device on their hair should consider using a heat protectant, and that is what I’ve been doing. I am absolutely thrilled with this appliance and recommend it without reservation!

I hardly ever write reviews, but this may be the best hair product I’ve purchased in years. I have very fine, very thin, almost shoulder length hair that has just a slight annoying wave, but is basically straight. Using this with damp hair out of the shower was amazing- dried super quickly and gave my limp thin hair lots of body. It also helped lay down the wispy “baby” hairs I have all over. I used it on low and that was definitely hot enough. I’ve also used it on dry hair to touch it up the next day- I just made sure that I used heat protectant spray and finished it off with a shine spray. I like the one in the red bottle. Very foolproof to use as well. I pinned up sections but I honestly didn’t really need to with my fine hair. Got tons of compliments on my hair and it took all of five minutes to style. Buy it!

I have pretty thick hair that has an imperfect curl/wave pattern. I can scrunch my wet hair into something that's pretty acceptable. But it blow dries beautifully - however I was never adept at holding a blow dryer in one hand and a round brush in the other. This is one perfect tool - awesome! It dries my thick hair in record time, it styles my hair beautifully - but holy crap! I burned the heck out of my finger and could easily burn my ear just by having this near it!! Yes, this works fabulously but, my God, spray on a heat protectant spray liberally!! Luckily I got a thermal glove with another hair tool I bought so I can use that - in a limited time. Now I can style my hair with the low heat setting but my curl doesn't last as well. Oh, and that cool setting? Pretty much worthless. No cool air that I can tell. But it dries super fast, curls well and really would travel well - only it's too hot. Buy with your eyes wide open and add a bottle of heat protectant to your order!!
