Elevated My Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream to Perfection!
I recently got the 12-pack of Large Tahitian Vanilla Beans to make homemade vanilla ice cream, and I’m absolutely blown away by the results! These Grade A pods brought such a rich, creamy flavor and intoxicating aroma to my dessert that it tasted like something straight out of a gourmet ice cream shop. If you’re a baking enthusiast like me, these vanilla beans are an absolute treasure!Pros:• Incredible Flavor: The Tahitian vanilla beans gave my ice cream a deep, floral sweetness with a hint of fruitiness that you just can’t get from store-bought extract. It’s luxurious and totally worth the effort.• Plump and Fresh: Each bean arrived vacuum-sealed, moist, and bursting with oils—I split one open, and the seeds practically spilled out! They made scraping them into my custard base a breeze.• Perfect Size: At 6-8 inches long, these pods are generous, and I only needed two for a batch of ice cream. That leaves me 10 more for future recipes—what a great value for a 12-pack!• Versatile for More: Beyond ice cream, I’ve already saved the scraped pods to infuse sugar and plan to try them in coffee next. They’re inspiring me to get creative in the kitchen!• Aroma Heaven: The smell when I opened the package was unreal—sweet, creamy, and warm. It made the whole ice cream-making process feel like a treat.Cons:• Slightly Pricey Upfront: They’re not cheap compared to extract, but the quality and yield make them worth it. My ice cream turned out so good I’d happily pay again!• Requires Some Prep: If you’re new to using whole beans, splitting and scraping takes a little practice. I got the hang of it quickly, but it’s not as instant as pouring from a bottle.• Storage Learning Curve: They need to stay sealed or in an airtight container to keep fresh. I forgot one out overnight, and it dried out a bit—not a dealbreaker, just a heads-up.These Tahitian vanilla beans turned my homemade vanilla ice cream into a creamy, dreamy masterpiece that had my family begging for seconds. The rich flavor, premium quality, and versatility make this 12-pack a must-have for any home cook or baker. Five stars—I’m already planning my next batch!

Makes great vanilla
Arrived as promised. I've used these beans before and was totally satisfied with the results. I made homemade vanilla and it is processing now. The last time I used these beans the vanilla turned out great which is why I bought them again. I would definitely recommend them.

Updated review
Update: So my original review was poor. I was since contacted by the company who made it right. I was very impressed that they reached out to me to find out what was wrong and how they could fix it. They sure did. I did some additional research and eventually decided to use the beans (that I still had for some reason) to try to make vanilla extract. Oh. My. Goodness! I didn't give these beans a fair chance. I put the beans in a glass bottle and covered them with vodka. It takes 612 months to make extract but within 2 days, the smell coming from the bottles was heavenly. Although I wasn't pleased with them for baking (my original intent), I think I am going to love the extract they make. Only another 6 months to wait to find out, but judging from the smell, I think I am going to be a very happy baker.Original review: For years I have heard about the incredible taste of using vanilla beans and scraping the seeds. I finally bought these to try it out on a vanilla cake. What an absolute waste of money! There was no aroma to the beans when I opened the package and the seeds added zero flavor to my cake. I tried to return or replace it and found that since Amazon is handling the sale of this item, it is not returnable and I can't even find a place online to ask for a replacement. Apparently there is no recourse if you purchase this subpar product.Don't waste your money on it. Buy a reputable pure vanilla extract instead.

Don't hesitate to get the real thing!
We just returned from a Tahitian cruise and found these vanilla beans to be a fraction of the cost of the ones there! Plus we didn't even have to carry them home in our luggage. So, win-win!

Moist pods
Makes the best vanilla, use any inexpensive vodka and the vanilla extract comes out great, especially after 6 months.
