I routinely get tension in my lower back which then makes its way up to my shoulders and neck. This thing hurts like a mfer the first time you lay on it when you have knots in your shoulder or neck but if you just endure for a few minutes you will experience the most curious sensation of having all your knotted muscles just relax and you'll sink into the trigger points in total bliss. Its like these knots are muscles that don't understand how to let go but when a constant pressure is exerted on them, they just say eff this and release.It's so important to stretch before and after you lay on this trigger point massager. I have found that if I don't stretch right after the muscles will knot up again. So right after everything releases I do some really nice long deep stretches, arm stretches, leg stretches, whole body stretches. Then lay on it again, and repeat. I do this like three or four times and I find the knots stay away.The key though to avoiding knots is just maintaining flexibility and staying active. I found this out the hard way.Anyway, this thing actually works and I googled it and you can't really injure yourself with this unless you're doing it completely wrong. Just follow the directions and know that the pain means its working. You'll know when everything releases because the pain instantly turns to pleasure.

This is the real deal, yes it is expensive but it works. Most of us can’t go to a therapist several times a weeks but we can all work on ourselves with the correct tools. My neck and upper back were so bad from computer use and how I drink my neck at night sleeping. I started out slow, 5 minutes 2 x a day. It is like strong holding pressure from a therapist like trigger point therapy. Within 2 days I felt great relief in my neck. I use this several times a week now as maintenance, still 5 minutes a time. After resting on this I do roll off gently to one side and rest for a few seconds and then get up. This is a life saver for me. Other products are cheap but they are soft, smash down and will not work like this. Worth every penny I spent.

Fantastic, superb, mind-blowing, invigorating, enlivening, TOTALLY WORTH THE PRICE!To try to describe why isn't easy, but it wakes things up and brings them on board, it allows me to put the most remarkable kind of shiatsu pressure on spots and at angles that are worth dozens of shiatsu sessions to be able to do myself, whenever I feel like it.I have lots of devices, they each do different things. I only need this to do what it does - which is something absolutely superb and wonderful.There seem to be knock-offs, I would order them to try but the time and energy to return them makes the experiment pointless. I just know that this thing is primo, non plus ultra, the level I call "most amazing". Better than going to a fancy restaurant including wine. Subjectively, this is a really, really fantastic experience. I'm surprised such things are available - I mean the experience - at this price.By the way, you'll have to experiment. And mileage may vary - this device is perfect for some things I was trying to do but couldn't figure out how to do at the right angle with the right pressure. I don't know where you're at or what your body is needing at this point.I've gotten a lot of these kinds of things just now. Kind of eenie-meenie-miney mo - some new ones arrived today. But out of the bunch, this is one of the keepers. Really, really helpful in ways I can't properly articulate here.Very worth getting. I think I just realized that it may be this thing that's allowing me to sleep so much more deeply and completely the last few days. This thing is actually magnificent.But they should call it "The Lobster" because of the way it looks. Ahh - you know what? Even if the knock-offs were as good, and I bet they aren't - the material this is made out of is PERRRRRFECT for what this thing does. Why fiddle with that? And it's kind of offensive that others just copied it that completely. I don't really trust a company that operates like that to do the right things where it matters.Pretty crazy how great this thing is, especially as you continue to use it and your body begins to crave it in particular ways. You can use your legs to lift your body so the pressure is applied to different areas in different ways, and in some spots practically stand your body up to put a lot of pressure on particular spots. But the exact consistency of this material is perfect, so I wouldn't really want to try a knock-off at this point.Yeah, very positive review on this thing.

I ended up with the coated metal long back piece of equipment from the same company. I ran into the same problem with this as I did their coated metal shoulder piece of equipment. It didn’t line up with my body correctly for the length and height. It seems somewhere between my shoulders and my neck that I was too short for it or something in that area. I’m a female and I’m 5'8", but most of my length is in my femur. I realize I’m a bit short wasted and maybe I’m a little bit short in the shoulder too because I’ve noticed I have to take tops in sometimes that are like spaghetti straps and not adjustable that they fall if they are too long on me which they often are, so my shoulders don't come up as high as most manufactured clothing products are fitted for most people, so that’s saying something . This would probably accommodate most people, but it just didn’t fit me right or I didn’t fit it right. I think it could bring some real relief if one could use it correctly.

Excellent product. I don't recommend products easily. I have a terrible mid back and ordered this in desperation. It made a difference immediately. Now I use it twice a day, both at work and at home. Helps with realigning the spine. Highly recommend it. The price is super high and so is the quality.
