Read this before giving a bad review.
This backpack sprayer really is a great chemical sprayer. The first year I had it the sprayer worked great! I also got the one with the stainless-steel wand upgrade fyi. Now, the next season after I purchased, I made the mistake of just adding my chemicals & water and just going out to kill weeds. Remember at the beginning of the season to just put water in at first to make certain everything is working fine, it will prevent having to dump everything out into a bucket and "work" on the unit. Here is where you can run into a little frustration and this is most likely why there are any 1, 2, or 3 star reviews; before adding chemicals one really should put water in and test unit. If sprayer is not spraying properly there is an issue with a seal or some kind of air lock that is preventing the pumped up pressure from coming out of the nozzle. This means it is necessary to release the pressure hopefully by holding trigger or putting trigger lock on until unit has no pressure or removing the lid. I ended up having to take the wand apart. First I started with the filter in the handle checking to make sure nothing clogged. Then I reattached there. Unscrewed next area possible to check all rubber seals or whatever kind of seals they are to make sure everything is okay. When the pressure builds up and will not release when trigger is pulled that is an indication that seals are working because pressure builds up fine. I also did the quarter turn and removed internal pump (white plastic) to see if anything clogged or any issues. Re-installed quarter turn. Filled up with water and pumped the sprayer about 5 times and it worked like it was new. Remember to clean with clean water and let it dry and store it clean. Also, make sure to test it out at beginning of year with clean water. By removing each component on the wand and putting back together apparently fixed the issue.

One of the best purchases ever
I’ve owned this sprayer for almost two years now. It is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Battery life is great. Coverage is great. My property is about 10 acres with 2.5 that I keep “cultivated” with a third of a mile gravel drive. I used to do this with a Stihl pump sprayer. Then I started looking like Glenn Quagmire after he discovered the Internet. (My arm was worn out) There is nothing this baby can’t handle. I wholeheartedly recommend.

Frikin amazing!
Holy crap this thing is amazing compared to the handheld 1 gallon sprayer I had been using! I got the plastic sprayer tube, manual hand pump version which I believe is the cheapest version. Frikin amazing!!! I assembled it which was basically self explanatory, mixed my weed killer, started pumping which is really easy and not tiring at all, and sprayed away! I filled it with 3 gallons of spray mix and it was a little heavy but not that bad for a 40 year old semi fit woman. The backpack is way better than packing around my old handheld one. This is a 100% honest review from someone that hates weeds and lives on 1 acre.

Can't store in the product box
While assembling the sprayer I found out that the pump handle could not be put up in a vertical position where it can be stored in the box. The instructions indicate that that feature is only available on some models. Really? It makes little sense to me as to why you wouldn't put this feature on all models?

Best sprayed I've ever bought, and I've bought a lot of them.
I don't write reviews but this pump sprayer is hands down the best pump up sprayer I've ever used. After buying multiple sprayers from tractor supply that broke within a couple weeks I bought this one. Absolutely impressive.

Lasted five years, can’t complain.
Purchased 3/2019, had to toss it today 4/2025. Both bottom supports of the harness ripped. I really can’t complain, $17 per year of use.Granted, I only used it two maybe three times a year to treat for bark scorpions.I suspect it would have lasted a couple more years if the harness didn’t rip at both bottom supports.Unit was stored out of the sun in a shed when not being used. It has only gone up $10 since 2019. Another will be purchased. I only hope the quality is the same.

Performs Well
I am totally satisfied with the performance of this sprayer. It performance flawlessly for the first two tank fulls. The most difficult part was putting it on my back, it was what I expected with 35 pounds of water. However, Once in place it was very comfortable. I highly recommend it for anyone who has to do alot of spraying.

Seals' chemical compatability
Good product works very well. But, after one season and winter storage the gasket under the top lead/valve stretched and disformed. I used vinegar before storing for winter. I happened to be design engineer for chemical treatment equipment and I know what the Viton is. It is very good with acids and withstand well to range of temperatures. I doubt it is actually Viton
