Amazing. Really powerful and good quality
Amazing. Really powerful and good quality. So far have cleaned hard wood floors, crown molding, and painted walls. I plan to use it for many other cleaning projects around the house. This cleaner is pricey but you get what you pay for ... it really does work. Prior to buying this model I bought a cheaper $100 model from a different company. Right out of the box it didn't work and I had to return it so opted for a more expensive model instead.

Ok, but a little smelly
Heats up nicely, and having steam control is a good thing. A trigger lock would be a good thing but isn't there. There is a really funky smell that comes from it, most noticeable when the cord storage is open. I mean the smell is pretty nasty. The attachments seem to be good quality and overall the unit is pretty light weight. I did use the stainless brush on grout, and it did do an ok job on hi steam. The cloth heads do a nice job, and if needed you can use your own towels as the heads have very good, tight clamps to hold a towel. I have only used it mopping, on grout, some wall cleaning, and I used it on some diamonds too. I hope the smell from the unit dissipates or I might have to return the item.******************************************** Edit/Update**************************************************************************************************So the smell has not dissipated, and may be actually getting more potent. Sorry Sarge, have to return this one, I had high hopes but gag

Amazing steamer and company!
The steamer works amazing, it can sustain high pressure for quite a while and can clean most messes with little effort. Be aware you need to depressurize to refill, it was the only minus for me.

i am a humble man living below humble means. $1600 had to come easy or i would not have bought this
functions well. i just wish it had more pressure and would like to see it last 5x longer before refill. get about 6 mins constant fluxuating pressure before refill. if this were say $599 sign me up for two!! but $1600 i will return product. just dont feel the value.

Great cleaner, awkward to use
I've had the Sargent Steam for over a year now. I chose it because I am fascinated by the power of dry vapor cleaning, and because I wanted to replace my pressure steam iron that had died after being dropped too many times, and the Sargent offers an iron as an accessory. This is an Italian-made machine that is marketed by a company in Utah, that has a website with a lot of valuable information and instruction and, it seems, just as much gushing and hyperbole. My experience:The machine itself is easy to use. Open the top and fill with tap water from an included bottle that has a spring-loaded top to prevent over-filling. Two bottles full or so is about two quarts and this fills the machine. Tighten the cap back onto the machine, plug it into an outlet, turn on both switches, attach the hose, and allow about ten minutes for the water inside to come to the proper steaming temperature according to a dial on the front of the machine. Attach the desired nozzle or attachment and you're ready. The volume of steam is controllable with two switches on the handle. I usually turn on only one of the switches, which gives more than enough power steam to handle most jobs. The steam does an amazing job of blasting away greasy grime. If you've ever watched the shopping channels demonstrate their wimpy little steam cleaners, you will be amazed at how much more pressure the Sargent emits. The steam is most effective on greasy, but not burned-on dirt. The top of my refrigerator sparkles, the bathroom tile is squeaky clean, and the track of the sliding door is clear of any dirt foolish enough to settle there. Cleaning the inside of the oven requires both the power of the steam, plus the use of abrasive scrubbers, at least initially. My gripe is with the gadgets - brushes, pads, extension wands, - that are included with the machine. They must add a few hundred dollars to the cost of the machine, and I find them to be pretty much useless. They are very focused in direction and do not allow for flexibility to get into corners and awkward spots. I almost always end up using the plain nozzle in one hand and a scrubber or appropriate pad in the other. The Sargent company offers extras of all the little scrubbers, but I suggest starting with only what is included. Many of the nylon scrubbing pads and the indispensible stainless steel scrubbers can be purchased in the grocery store and cut to size. The steamer must be cleaned out after every few uses, depending upon how high the mineral content is of your water. This is probably the most awkward operation of all. There's a cap on the bottom of the machine that is opened by using a wrench that is located in the screw-on cap that goes on the top of the machine. So, you take the top off the machine, turn the machine over, and use this gadget to open the bottom. Of course, while you're doing this, any water that's in the machine is running all over your arm and everywhere else. Then when you get it empty, you must put the bottom back on, run more water in and shake the machine, then repeat the business of taking off the bottom cap with the top cap, having the water run all over while you're doing this, refilling again, opening again. You really need a big laundry sink to do this. The pressure iron accessory that I bought is a dream to use. Pressure irons work on several layers of cloth at a time, so the ironing gets done very quickly.Summary: The Sargent Steam is a very powerful steamer, but it's not as user-friendly as it should be.

Exceptional product and support
Awesome product!! Cleans what you can't. In fact you probably think it's clean, until you clean with this, and then you realize how new really looked. The customer support, training, and helpful knowledgeable staff is the best. This product and the people behind it stand alone.

Clean shower grout
My staff seem to really like it a lot since it has all the attachments they need to clean up the grout lines in the showers.
