Surprisingly clear
I picked this up for a budget lap guitar project. Based on the price point, I didn’t have high expectations for sound/quality, but am pleasantly surprised. Combined with a wood bridge, It has a real smooth, almost bell like sound. It’s not overly sharp, which I like, but if you are looking for some extra bright, jangly sound, you may have to tweak the eq a little. It measured out at 4.38K ohms, which is higher output than current Seymour Duncan or StewMac lipstick pickup listings. I can easily push the gain into overdrive and get some distortion. It is a wide pickup. Not so much a pickup feature, but good info for other builders, combined with 250K pots and a .047uF tone cap, I found the tone adjustment to be very subtle. At first, wasn’t sure I got the wiring right, but found it was in fact changing the tone, it’s just a very subtle nuanced change. If you want more tone adjustment, you may consider a different cap/pot combo than I used. It is not Strat size. Check your measurements before ordering. As for my project, being wider with a bar magnet instead of pole pieces was what I was looking for since I went with a non-standard string spacing. Overall, I’m impressed, especially considering the price point, and should I tread into more builds like this in the future, will definitely be considering another one of these.

Misleading Description
This is just a word of caution: nothing in the item's description means anything. It says it works on ST style guitars, but then later in the description says it does not work on strats. It fits none of my 5 strats nor any single coil guitars of the many I own.Moving on, it states it works on a "guitar bass". Why list the description as "guitar" in the title? This is very misleading. This product claims to be Alnico V in the title, and Alnico 6 in the description. It also claims to be ceramic. I cracked it open since it is not worth my time returning this and confirmed that it is, in fact, ceramic. The resistance shows that it runs around 4.4 ohms. This is acceptable since the Danelectros sit somewhere around this range. This pickup's shell is made of plastic for those wondering.Eventually this will find its way into something. I cannot comment on the sound as I will need to buy yet another guitar to test this on.

Incorrect description.
Not for strat nor regular single coil pickup routing.

They sound great!!!
Used them to change my Danelectro to be (electronically) more like my Telecasters by changing the stacked volume and tone pots to single pots.

DOES NOT FIT STRAT PICKGUARD
no idea how these sound, because I didn't get that far. theyre waaay too big to fit in a standard Strat pickguard mounting hole. terrible design. F- in my book...
