Way better value than tiny bags
It was well worth spending extra to get this mammoth sized bag. It will likely last me 2 seasons. The quality is great. Very light weight and easy to move. The texture of the product is exactly what I needed. It is easy to dispense in my soil mix and also makes a light weight mulch that seedlings can easily sprout through. The drainage It provides helps keep soil from stayingnsoggy. My garden is growing great.

Fantastic
Great price and quality. I think it’s the perfect size and absorbs water great. I live in Florida and vermiculite is a game changer to help retain moisture and avoid hydrophobic soil

Light weight, aerates the soil, improves drainage, and helps to keep soil moist.
I have been growing almost all of our veggies and herbs in my basement under LED lights for over 7 years. Although I use an excellent potting soil that contains perlite, humus, etc., most plants do better in a loamy soil. By definition, loamy soil contains sand. I tried adding sand to a couple of pots, and it very much increased the weight of the pots. In addition, most sand you can find is to fine to be of any help for drainage or aeration. Vermiculite serves the same purpose as sand, but is much lighter in weight.Initially, I was buying 30 quart bags of vermiculite at a cost of $37, but I grow so much it was getting very expensive to use. I found this 103 quart bag of medium vermiculite for about $10 more, so I decided to try it. This vermiculite comes in a huge bag, and will last me for a while. This vermiculite is very clean, but finer than what I had been using. So, I decided to buy a bag of the same size in course and mix them. This has been working out very well, and my plants seem to be happier.I hope this review was helpful for you.

Great for container gardens
Used to make soilless mix for container gardening. Works well. Goes a long way. Much cheaper than buying at home improvement stores in smaller bags.

Vermiculite is wonderful!
This was a great price and a much needed item to amend my soil! I have sandy soil and it helps hold nutrients and moisture so I don't need to water as often. I will purchase again when I run low.

Great for my square foot gardening - plants do well
Accidentally bought the medium instead of coarse this year - but still used it to create Mels Mix for square foot gardening. Has worked well for me for years. Hopefully the medium does too!

nice big bag finer in texture then I thought it would be
It is a nice big bag that's awesome, but the texture is a bit finer than I had thought it would be. It is like a light sand, but it will work for one of my purposes. It is a fair amount for the price, so I appreciate that. I am not sure how much moisture it will retain, as it is like a dust

Good value for making your own potting soil or seed-starting mix
This is a very large bag, but it's easy to move around due to the light weight of vermiculite. This will last the average gardener a long time and is a much better value than buying small bags of name-brand vermiculite.
