Get Your Fingers Dancing with the Roland FP-90x Keyboard
The Roland FP-90x keyboard is a game-changer for anyone who's serious about learning to play the piano. As someone who bought it to teach themselves how to play, I can confidently say that this keyboard is a great investment.First and foremost, the sound quality is amazing. The piano sounds are rich and full, and the additional instrument sounds are a lot of fun to experiment with. The speakers are powerful, but if you really want to get the full experience, I highly recommend using headphones. The FP-90x's SuperNATURAL modeling technology produces a wide range of expressive piano tones that sound almost like a grand piano. But the true highlight of the FP-90x is its feel. The keys have a realistic weight and response that makes it feel like you're playing a real piano. The ivory and ebony key textures are also a nice touch, making it easier to play for longer periods of time without your fingers slipping around.Of course, there is one drawback to this keyboard - it doesn't come with someone to force you to practice! But in all seriousness, the FP-90x is a joy to play and practice on. With all of the different modes and features, it's easy to get lost in playing for hours at a time.Overall, I highly recommend the Roland FP-90x keyboard to anyone who's serious about learning to play piano. It's a bit of an investment, but it's worth it for the sound and feel alone. Just be warned - once you start playing, you might not want to stop!

Extraordinary keyboard, great for learning and mastery
I researched the Roland FP-90x online, at a music store, and through Amazon. After cogitating for a few months I ordered and received this keyboard (with stand and stool) in January 2024. It has been wonderful. While I played a little when in elementary school, my piano lessons never stuck. Now in my 60s I feel relaunched using "Simply Piano" lessons on my iPad and this wonderful instrument. It feels and sounds like a real piano, a wood or ivory keyboard. I practice a half-hour to two hours each day and I am lifted. My ear and coordination have both improved. While my skills are beginner now, I appreciate that this device will rise with my ability -- or always remain well above my skill level.(It also looks good, and I can move it about if needed.)

Great Digital Piano
I've been using this digital piano since 2021 and it's served me well. While the speakers leave something to be desired in their clarity and soundstage, its an undeniably good keyboard for intermediate players who are unable to keep an acoustic piano. The weighted keys feel satisfyingly heavy, comparable to a mid sized acoustic grand. The library of modeled piano sounds are endlessly customizable, down to the individual key. The general midi library onboard also gives a lot of options for more 'fun' sounds when playing music outside of classical. The speakers, as mentioned above, leave something to be desired. They sound like a very inexpensive sound bar, and don't translate a very convincing piano sound which is unfortunate for the price this digital piano is being sold for. Fortunately though, they do get very loud, so if you're gigging and dont have regular access to external speakers, this will be able to fill small venues easily. Using external speakers or headphones however is a joy, and very immersive.Overall I would purchase again, with the caveat if its being use as a home piano only you should factor in the price of a good set of headphones or studio monitor speakers.

Excellent keyboard
I enjoy this keyboard . The keyboard touch is excellent , and the onboard speakers are surprisingly good. I also appreciate the Roland customer technical support. They normally respond to email questions in a day or so

It worked perfectly for about three hours then had a electronic fit and died.
The media could not be loaded. It worked fine for a couple hours and I was happy with my new digital piano. Then there started to be some erratic static noise and It got really really really freaking loud really quickly so I quickly turned off my piano. Every time I turned it on after that and after trouble shooting the loud static noise was still there. Then probably the fourth time I turned it on I got no piano sound at all through speakers or head phones. But I still got the static noise though the speakers. So now I am returning it, and am unsure if I will get the same thing again as I am questioning its quality. This sucks.

The best key action in the industry!! Must play it like an acoustic grand
The second I powered it up and played it my heart sank. I could not believe how poor the speaker sounds. Since I owned the fp30 I knew what to do. So I plugged in my trusty $100 Mackie monitors into the headphone port and boom. Clear, beautiful sound. I have a korg grandstage that has superior piano sounds. However, I bought this fp90x for the keyboard feel. Now that I've played it a while it's as close to an acoustic grand piano (which I have). For classical music and sound you won't find anything close. If you want a bunch of cool synth sounds or other features of digital pianos. look elsewhere and don't drop this kind of money. At the end of the day, it's exactly what i wanted.......a pure piano that plays like an acoustic. Not a lot of tweaking and even if you do it's right there at your finger tips. Sitting across from this is my trusty yamaha portable grand dgx-670. That's where I can play and arrange for hours. Again if you want a pure digital grand that plays like a real piano with fast action keys...........this is it!!
