SUNWIN 4050CM 12V USB Desktop Laser Cutting/Engraving Machine DIY Logo Picture Marking (2.5W)

I'm sure I would enjoy this item if this company wasn't IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with. Lucky for everyone who has contacted them and received a response, I have sent SUNWIN 3 messages and not one request has been answered. The guide that comes with this is a joke, don't even bother looking at it for all there is are pictures of it assembled with random arrows pointed at things. Look on youtube, you'll be able to find assembly vidoes for other engravers that are pretty much the exact same thing. I'm also having issues with the programming, I have contacted Sunwin about this and have received no answer on how to progress. Youtube also helps with this, but overall I would like the assistance from the company that I bought this item from. If this is a new hobby for you to get into (like me, I'm learning, or trying to learn at this point, as I go along) this is a horrible, horrible item to purchase.

I am having so much fun with this laser. Once you get it put together. It's fun but takes a while. Get the right program. The only one that I've been able to use is the one SUNWIN gave me the download link for. For as cheap as it was I have been using the crap out of it. It works well. Make sure the set screws and belts are tight enough.

Very nice toy. I love it. Except for it being a pain to put together. It works well. The assembly instructions are just a couple of pictures without much detail. The manual claims that there is a assembly video on the web page but I couldn't find the video, just a couple more pictures.The lack of good assembly instructions is the only reason i didn't give it a 5.

After a few months I found that buying a better software package helps, but mine has a flaw that I can't seem to get resolved by support.The Y axis will get stuck and not move if I am performing a FILL to create something. I can create outline without issues, but printing solid letters or photographs is out of the question.Support has offered many suggestions, which I have patiently tried, none of the working. All that has happened is a waste if product as it will start fine, but fail within a minute or so.It is too late to return. So I am stuck.I would not buy one and would opt for a model with two Y motors.Also, this is not a Sunwin as advertised, it arrived in a Bachin box and us a Bachin D8-5040p

I bought this machine about two and a half months ago, and have been very impressed with it! This has been a great add to my workshop. It has held up to some periods of heavy use, when I've used the machine for a single work for 5 hrs, and run it pretty much non-stop for 2-3 days in a row.I was a bit hesitant about the difficulty in putting the laser together and using the software before ordering, based on prior reviews. It did take me between 2-3 hrs to put together, but all the needed tools were included, and the instructions weren't bad. The laser included a zip drive that was plug and play, which helped me get up and running quickly.I built a box to protect the unit from our cats, in addition to minimizing dust and dirt getting into the pieces.All in all, this is a great tool for the hobbyist carpenter!

Laser machine works like a charm when set up correctly. Software program not comprehensive. Invest in stronger laser worth it.

Got it today all was well with packaging. All parts were accounted for. Went together well had it up and running in about 3 to 4 hours. The software is ok so far but only had a short time to work with it today but seems ok.
