Bought this to fit with the decor of my son's remodeled bedroom. Needed a little extra storage too. Nice piece. Too expensive. It's fairly light weight materials. Happy with the product, just feel it's marked up too much. If you're patient, you can find something cheaper at a Big Lots or Walmart, for less.

I use this at the front door for all my kids shoes. Works great. With 5 kids they are constantly getting into it. They are also not so gentle and like to slam the lid closed every time. But it is holding up like new. It’s also cute and goes with my rustic themed decor.

My item arrived in perfect shape (no shipping damage as I had read in other reviews). I will day it is a bit smaller than expected, but the details to look vintage are fabulous. The hardware to open and close the top are lower quality and do not look like they will last long... I bought this for my kids to put their book bags in after school- being that kids aren’t ‘gentle’, the life of the hinges will be short lived. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

Lid not attached, 3 out of 6 screws included. Brackets on the lid out of line. Had to unassembled and reattach with better hinges and screws. Disappointed in quality for the cost

Just received the chest and was so disappointed when I removed it from the box. There is a large crack on the top and when I opened the lid, there was more damage. I do not understand why it was boxed in that condition...it is being returned and it’s such a shame.This was my second purchase of the chest. It looks great and blends easily with my decorations and color scheme. If not for the damage, it would have been a perfect match.The wood material is less than a 1/4” thick on the top however; the bracing under the lid was damaged. It may have survived whatever was placed on it, if not for that.Value for money - 1 star. I had no issues with the cost of an undamaged chest which is why I purchased the second chest. I do have issues when I make a purchase and the item is damaged. That is when the value for the money decreases.As stated, the wood is thin however; I love the rustic look of the metal attached to the wood. Based on the damage, I can’t say it’s sturdy.

Conversation piece. Looks great in my dining room! Would highly recommend.

Nit what I thought it was going to be at.all. It looks like something metal, strong and almost rustic...slightly industrial...it is actually a lightweight wood composite of really not use. I was going to use it as a storage box by our room exiting to outside but it really is not strong enough. Maybe good to toss a few pairs of shoes in?
