Great mattress pad. It’s quite thick and fits the mattress perfectly. It’s made of cotton. It’s great for a queen size bed or any adult bed. It is However, since it is not waterproof it is not suitable for under four year old kids. I needed to buy a mattress pad for my grand daughters bed and I had to shop for a waterproof mattress. However for adult bed, I strongly recommend this mattress pad. It is really great value and it is far superior to other mattress pads,

Q: what are the dimensions of the twin mattress Pad?

I purchased queen size and added a top foam pad and still have plenty of coverage. Dimensions deep pockets says 8-21", but I feel in order for a good grip on corners, it's more 8-18".

No its cloth with no plastic or crinkle sound.
