Microplane Premium Classic Zester (Blue Grotto)

I was hesitant to get this because of the price and because one of the reviews said they use it so much they have to keep replacing it because it wears out, but they love it so much they do keep replacing it. I have only used it to zest lemon so far but I have plans for ginger and Parmesan cheese. I managed not to slice my fingers doing this and rinsing directly after using it cleans up well.

I used to HATE grating cheese and would always task my husband to labor over it, but with this it's SO MUCH FASTER AND EASIER! And as an additional bonus the grating is so fine the cheese melts into the dishes much faster/consistently as well! Neither my husband or I fear cheese grating duties any more :)

This Parmesan Grater and Lemon Zester is a necessary kitchen tool that has many uses. I used it to zest lemons and limes and to add freshly grated parmesan to many dishes.

Ive never had anything grade pilllowy piles of hard cheeses like this does. Its really excellent. I use it at least once a week to grate parmesan or other similar cheese, and my wife uses it probably once a month to grate citrus peels for recipes. Ours gets a ton of use. I also wash it in the dishwasher. With our use, and the fact we wash in the dishwasher, I have to replace this every 2-3 years because it gets dull and doesnt work as well over time. Im on my 3rd one now.

I really like the design of this zester. It is sharp and makes zesting fun. Some reviewers complain that it also is sharp of the sides of the metal design. I find the sides useful to get into narrow curves of the lemon fruit.

I do a lot of cooking/baking with utensils that I inherited from my mother. I finally bought a new zester and was amazed at how easy it is to use. It took only seconds to zest two lemons. The pieces came off small and fine with very little pressure or effort.

When I purchased this, I questioned the expense... I simply wasn't sure it was worth it. However, now that I have it, and have used it, I'd say it is completely worth it! First, it's very well constructed: the handle is very comfortable to hold, and the blade portion is sharp, and does a great job of grating foods (yeah, as with any other grater, you have to be careful!). I love the fact that the handles come in a variety of colors! Seems such a simple thing, but I like having utensils that look as good as they function! Like almost everything I buy, this utensil is dishwasher safe. When purchasing this grater, I did not notice it comes with a sheath / sleeve for storing! What a great idea! Keeps my grater from potentially getting banged around in my storage drawer, and possibly damaging its sharpness! The length of the grater is perfect, allowing for a good amount of grating surface, making your grating much more effective (more grating surface makes for faster, easier grating, if you take advantage of the overall grating surface!). It's so easy to hold the microplane in one hand, while grating / zesting, and turning a lemon around in the other. I highly recommend this microplane.

I have been on the lookout for a good citrus zester for ages and this is definitely the one! So easy to use and does the job perfectly. Very sharp so you need to be careful but produces perfect zest - there is a safety sleeve for storage.No more wasted money spent on inferior models- I’ve tried a few 🤣

Excellent product

Can't believe it's taken me so long to get one of these - it's a life changer! Lemons zested and ginger grated in the blink of an eye. Not to mention parmesan, garlic.... SO easy to use with no mess. Love LOVE it. Fab colour range too and quick delivery.
