Like a hot knife through butter!
I finally got to try out the present that Santa brought me for Christmas! I've never used a real power tool before (just an electric screwdriver,) and "I'm just a girl" with very little experience with yard work aside from mowing the lawn. (But I swear I only picked pink because it was cheaper lol.) Now that we've established that I'm a total novice...I really wish I had taken a better "before" photo. We had section of our yard lined with severely overgrown cedar hedges - about 50 feet or so. I was tired of looking at them as well as getting smacked in the face by them when trying to mow around them. They extended anywhere from 10 to 15 feet from the trunks out into the yard. There was no way I was going to attempt this with my husband's corded chain saw, and my shears were no match for these thick branches.I found the set up and use of the saw easy. The chain did need to be tightened before I began. I personally didn't want the top guard thing, so I took it off. I love that this came with two batteries so I never had to pause and wait for a battery to charge while working. Cutting the brush and small/medium limbs was easy - like a hot knife through butter! The larger limbs took a little more work. I'm glad I opted for the six inch! Cutting and clearing took about eight sweaty hours. Due to impending weather, processing the brush into firewood will have to wait for another day.I'm giving this tool five stars, although I found a couple of "negatives." The eye protection goggles seem to be meant for an extra large person. I'm not petite, but those things wouldn't stay on. I used my old computer glasses for eye protection. I did have to put the chain back on a few times. Having a diagram on the saw showing the direction the teeth should point would be extremely helpful. Other than that, I am super happy with this saw!! I would recommend it to anyone looking to tackle a yard work project!!

Paid for itself the first time I used it.
This little powerhouse is one of the best things I've bought on Amazon in the last couple of years. The price is so low that the risk is minimal. If it didn't work I could just return it. But right out of the box, this mini chainsaw was a delight. It cut through branches like a hot knife through butter, and the battery lasted longer than I did: By that I mean that I had cut everything I wanted the first day and there was still plenty of juice left. I used it again over the next two or three days before I recharged it.I had been planning to have a professional come and do some yard cleanup (limbs, branches, small trees) after a storm. But with this remarkable little chainsaw, I was able to accomplish all the work myself. Even the brush removal was minimized, since I could so easily cut branches down into small logs for the fireplace. The savings of not having to hire additional help has now paid for the chainsaw at least ten times over so far, and it's still working fine.I'm delighted to offer such a great review. This little dynamo really delivers! Some caveats: I'm a fairly fit man, generally handy and comfortable with power tools. Although this tool so small and easy to handle that it actually looks like a toy, it is very powerful. In the wrong hands it could really hurt someone. I would advise extreme caution if there are any children around. It has good safety measures built into it, but any power tool can be dangerous if used improperly. Since this is designed to cut things, and since it works very well, it is more dangerous than most other power tools. Be sure that it's used only by responsible adults.

It did what I needed it to do
I was hesitant to buy this as the price seemed too good to be true. I did not have high expectations, but it did what I needed it to do. I had some large limbs I needed to cut up for firewood kindling. Using a full-size chainsaw was not the easiest or safest thing to use on smaller tree limbs. A bow saw was taking too long. This little saw zipped right through everything I had. I needed to change the battery one time, but to be honest, I had not given it a full charge before I used it. I had limbs anywhere from 1”-3” in diameter. The saw feels comfortable in your hand, fairly well balanced. When I finished cutting up the large limbs, which only took minutes, I decided to try it on larger limbs still on the tree. It zipped right through 4 and 5” limbs. I was pleasantly surprised. I cannot say how long the saw will last as I have not used it more than a couple of times, but for the price, if it does more than a handful of jobs, you got your moneys worth of use out of it. I gave it five stars because it did what I bought it for with no problems. It comes with a nice case, an extra battery, extra chain, safety glasses and gloves. You will have to manually oil the chain as there is no oil tank to feed the chain as you have on a full-size chainsaw.

Batteries last longer than my attention span
Love this little thing. My kids and I have inherited a fire pit, and we have access to branches that fall out of trees. However, some are too big to break, and I got sick of waiting for my husband to come along with his chain saw. Stumbled across this little thing, and even my skeptical husband is impressed. He oiled it for me and checked the tension. Says it really is like a real chain saw. He also pointed out that I’ll have more control over it if I cut closer to the end of the length of it, rather than using the middle of the length as my cutting focus. (Hopefully this helps someone else.) Yesterday, my boys and I went out to clean up fallen branches, and this little thing did its job. It’ll make it through three-inch wide branches, but it doesn’t like them. It whizzed through other branches, though, and kept on going. The mess was cleaned up before one battery died, so it’s a success so far.
