I use these in a size 4 with 12lb fluorocarbon for all my Senko fishing.. Yes there small but I've hauled in some toads with no problem. I like the smaller size as fish seem to pick the bait up and hold it longer. grab a pack of VMC Crossover rings in a 7mil size and you've got the perfect senko set up

Very very sturdy hook. Heavy well made. Concern would be that they may affect the natural movement of the bait.

I've been using this exact hook for all of my trout fishing for years. The slightly offset barb to shank lets me set that hook almost all of the time. I have caught some really, really big trout, and these hooks have never bent on me. These are so durable, that I have actually caught several trout in one go, without having to even change the hook between catches. I know that this goes against some people's methods, but if I'm catching fish, then I'm apparently doing something right, and this is the hook that I have the most confidence in!
