Much cheaper option than OEM fuse.
OEM fuse on the battery wire is $89 plus you need a special tool to replace it. Instead I took the fuse part off the metal conductor/holder. Drilled a hole in that. Nut plus bold and conductive grease for a good connection and all done for a fraction of the cost. Can't say if car manufacturer overengineered the original design or knew it would be a money maker when people had to replace it.

Great fuse
Heavy duty fuse. Using it along with a Littelfuse single terminal and it is perfect. My winch came with a HUGE 150amp circuit breaker "tree" - 3- 50's bolted to metal straps. Impossible to mount anywhere without the possibility of shorting them out on the body. The single terminal and this fuse are a great substitution. Now my winch is fused and I was able to tuck this away where it won't be a problem.

Does NOT have sealed lugs on the bottom, read on------
I lost my confidence with this brand when I purchased their fuse holder along with this fuse and it was hard plastic with a hard plastic cover and the lugs WERE NOT sealed on the bottom of the fuse holder. Why is sealing the lugs important? I previously installed another (off) brand fuse holder for my car amplifier and it didn't have sealed lugs; after a few years I discovered water had been getting underneath the fuse holder and slowly running my battery power to ground--on the non-fused side. I ended up with a melted fuse holder, melted fuse and an immense appreciation that my car and house didn't burn to the ground. For a very small (and I mean tiny) amount of cost and effort, this company could and should seal the bottom of the lugs. Even though they are recessed into the plastic body it would be a sign of attention to detail and prevent the potential for bad things to happen.I returned this item and it's fuse holder and bought the other name brand.
