WD 2TB Orange My Passport Portable External Hard Drive - USB 3.0 - WDBYFT0020BOR-WESN

I cannot say enough about the exceptional customer service that WD has provided me. I have been a long time Seagate junkie but have had some issues with their auto backup program called Memeo. It renames files that have a long folder series making them impossible to retrieve? Why do that? So, I ordered a WD drive, the Passport in Orange so I wouldn't lose it or forget it!.... Unfortunately, as it can happen, the initial drive I received had an issue, it was obviously dropped and it rattled inside. I was like... "shoot, I hope I didn't buy from the wrong company"... but after I called, the phone adviser was crazy-friendly and helpful. He listened to me as I explained what I felt was wrong, that it had been dropped.... and without question, he immediately ordered out a new unit... before I was done explaining what I felt happened. He told me it would arrive in 2 days, and when it does arrive, he said, if it meets my satisfaction, just send the defective one back (??) That's strange... usually you must send the old one back first. He said I did not have to wait for my old unit to be mailed back.The new one had already left the warehouse!!! He sent it out immediately and it arrived the next day. (holy backups Batman!) The new unit was tight and did not rattle... it was fine. I plugged it in and I called WD support and they walked me thru the set up. It's running great, with no issues. I am now a die-hard WD fan! Forget the other drive companies, I will only buy WD products from now on. THEY ROCK!. The drive is awesome, small 2T drive that fits in your hand like a thick cell phone. USB 3 is very fast and I set it for hourly backups. Working wonderfully! No noise what so ever. AAAAAHHHHHH! I am such a happy camper! Yahoooooo !

Super easy to setup and use. This is my go to backup drive for my laptop and desktop. WD backup software is what makes this especially good unlike Seagate. The included WD backup software works without any issues and will not slow down your computer. Whereas the competitor Seagate makes a good hardware but terrible backup software. Their software is slow and often unresponsive for at least Windows 10. I highly recommend WD's backup drive.

I like it. It is pretty fast. So far it works without any glitches. It is small but backs up all my files on hard drive. I use it primarily for storage, but on occasion I have also used it like an internal hard drive and worked off it directly.I also like the color. It is hard to misplace. Go Orange.Joe Canino

I have a bunch of devices I use for external backup for my computers. I consider them essential, since in addition to the usual photos and files that I wouldn't want to lose, I have scanned multiple file cabinets and boxes of papers and documents and then threw out the originals, so backups are crucial. I like this one the best so far, although if size is a major concern, there are smaller choices. I use it only at home to back up two computers. Works great. Didn't need extra software, etc. - Just do a simple copy/paste. The color(s) and style set it apart from my other units, and am planning on giving it as Christmas gifts if its still available.

After 18 months, can't complain in general. It's a fine product.Likes? Color is bright as Rihanna's diamonds. Dislikes? On sleep, it deactivates from your laptop, making it unreadable. Most of the time you have to use WD Disk Utilities to reactivate it.You should buy AmazonBasics Hard Shell Case. It matches perfectly.

This is my second 2 TB external hard drive I've bought. The first one I bought for my Xbox One and I liked the way it performed so I bought this to use for my laptop. It has enough storage space for what I need and is small enough to fit in my laptop bag to take along with me. Not to mention the price doesn't break the bank.

Great harddrive! I've been using western digital for over 10 years now and I've never had a problem with them. Excellent product for an excellent price! First time I've bought one in a different color other than black, so that's rad. Use it to story pictures, movies, raw movie dumps from gopro and quad. You can even just plug them into a ps4 or Xbox one for instant added storage for games.

The price is reasonable enough, but this thing is VERY slow to respond. I'm using mine to store a lossless music library, and even doing something as simple as editing metadata or embedding cover artwork is a chore.It scratches very easily, despite the fact that I keep it in a protective case constantly.The little rubber feet on the bottom are glued on with some bad adhesive, so they will fall off and be lost forever.The WD proprietary USB-whatever port is very wobbly and doesn't inspire confidence in overall quality.All-in-all, it's not *too* disappointing, but I do wish I'd shelled out a few bucks more for a standard, "non-portable" external hard drive. The added convenience of being slightly smaller and not requiring a power source is not at all worth the sacrifice in speed/functionality.

Easy to use and great value. Like most hard drives it is very hard to rate. This could never fail or could fail in a couple months. Worked great for my very limited use. Backup that I hope saves me in the future

WD My Passport 2TB - Disco duro portátilPequeño de colores varios no desentona en la mesa funciona bastante bien, no le pondría pegas ya que viene preparado para instalarlo una vez que se conecta, lo instalas con los programas que tiene dentro, WD Backup, WD Security, WD Drive Utilities y ya se puede realizar copias sin mas.

Bell'articolo. L'HD si presenta molto bene. Piccolo, leggero e pratico. All'interno è presente il software per il backup. La velocità di trasferimento oscilla tra il 50 e i 60 MB/s.Non ho ancora avuto modo di provarlo a fondo, ma per adesso lo consiglio.
