Slight sizing and design issues, but good value
I have ordered 6 pairs of these Merino wool boxer briefs. I am now wearing them on a daily basis, not simply when hiking and camping. There are several good things about this underwear. First, they are the most competitively priced boxer briefs I could find. Second, the manufacturing, stitching, and material all seem great. Third, the company is very responsive to email questions and provides great customer service. There are a few issues with the product that should be refined in the next version. First, the amount of fabric in the back is not enough for people with a muscular or more full bottom. This leads to the briefs sliding down some when one bends over, and can give you a case of plumber's behind (butt crack showing). Second, the opening in the crotch for urination is too small. It makes it difficult to comfortably use to relieve yourself and so you are better off just pulling the briefs down from the top. The last issue I have is the sizing. I ordered the appropriate size for me based on the chart, but they are tight. I think this is mostly because they are new and that they will loosen up as time goes on, but I almost returned them when I received them for that reason. I am at the bottom range for the size I ordered and they are still tight, so I think the sizing is just running a little small.Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase and just bought 2 more pairs.

Not an iron grip but not swinging in the wind
These wool undergarments take comfort and support to a new level. Not only do they feel great(after a solid hike they are comfortable) but they breathe enough to prevent a swampy jungle. Few undergarments can caress your package without getting a bit personal, well I can say that these won't be riding up your canyon while they keep your eggs inline. All in all I will be ordering more and probably going to "ruin" Christmas by getting everyone these instead of the new whatever well be asked for!

Good, but strange color decision
When I first got the boxers, and put them on, I was very disappointed. They were so skintight not only were they formfitting like briefs instead of boxers, I was worried they sent the wrong size with the right label. However, after resolving myself, I put on my pants and went about my day; determined to test them out.And I'm glad I did. The fabric stretched and relaxed over the course of the day, and by the time I was getting ready for bed and removing my pants, the underwear were loose and draped like boxers. The exact product I ordered. So take note of that; I had to break mine in to get the right fit. Don't be fooled right out of the package. The second point of concern was the color. As we can see in the picture, I have the boxers on the right and a pair of dark/navy blue gym shorts on the left. They are not the same color, and I ordered mine in navy blue. Instead of one color, they seem to have dithered the color: they stitched rows of blue, red, and perhaps black together in a pattern so that looking at it from afar it MAY look like navy blue. Looks more like purple to me.Then again, it's underwear, and color usually isn't vital. I took a star off for that color scheme, but I'm still quite happy with them in every other aspect. Just be aware of what you might get.

sizes run small
According to the waist size i fall right into the middle of the medium and they are a little small around the waist and thighs. I have no ass but they did not put any extra material in the rear to account for people who do. Otherwise they feel soft and do have support in the crotch to keep you stuff in place.

They run very nig; order down one size from usual
Follow the sizing guidelines; I didn't the first time and ordered my usual size medium. Way too huge. Returned and downsized to small. The small fit fine but cost $5 more. Disappointing.I know these are a new item. I asked their customer service prior to purchasing if they have no-fly version; they don't. Maybe in the future? They seem, like the Merinotech shirts I have, to be very high quality. Once out of the clothes washer I'll find out. I have high expectations.

Great value
So far good bang for the buck. Fit is good they don’t ride up even while hiking. Wore one pair for multiple days on a camp out, they did not lose there shape and wicked any monster I would build up. After handed washing dried fast.

Comfortable and priced comparably with other merino wool brands
Great for backpacking, hiking and long runs. Lightweight, but quality made. I have purchased Merino.Tech in the past and have received offers for free merino wool socks. Merino.tech has been very slow (months) in sending these. It usually requires several emails to follow up. On two occasions, postage had been due on receipt, which was promptly reimbursed when I informed their customer support. I have recommended their shirts and boxers to others and have bought as gifts but this review is required to get the free sock offer. I will follow up if there is a problem with that process.

Merino wool is simply the best!
I’ve switched to merino wool for a year now and I’m never going back to cotton!I started using merino wool for my base layer for snowboarding & dirt biking. Now I’m sold!It regulates my temperature WAY better than any other base layer hot or cold.It keeps the sweat away and never gets smelly like voodoo magic. Now I have switched my socks & boxer briefs to merino wool.I’m 5’11” 170lbs athletic build & size medium fits me well.
