Very easy installation
These are a godsend, honestly who wants to spend a ton of money buying a new gas can when you can just spray paint a jug red & add one of these bad boys to the can. These vents work & are super easy to install, just drill your hole and thread the vent through. I havent had any leakage issues with it but I did add my own homemade gasket just incase when I was installing.

Love these things
I’ve used other brands and types in the past. And I really find them essential. My biggest complaint of others I’ve used is that the cap can fall off or get lost. Doesn’t happen with these, which I love. Great design. Easy to install if you follow the directions. My ONLY complaint is that the package should be multi-use. You open it once for one cap and everything wants to fall out. Not a huge deal, just put everything into a baggie. But you will need everything included in the packaging, including the packaging itself for the instructions, until you use the very last cap. So why not make it easier/better to store until you’re done with it all?

Easy to install
I really missed the old gas cans and was glad to find these. They were easy to install and have a good instructional video on the Amazon page. My gas cans do not expand and contract in the heating and cooling anymore. Also pouring is easier with the breathing. Highly recommend.

Easy to install, replaces those ome plastic vents
It seems like it would be hard to install, but it’s not ( watch the YouTube). I replaced the ome plastic vent caps which had split. I just sealed the old and installed the brass vent close by. Works great.

Works well. Easy enough to install.
I stuck in New York state, the land of amazing over regulation. Even gas cans are under the government's thumb! They all have to have spouts that won't vent fumes from the can. While the idea is great, I have yet to find such a gas can that doesn't spill more from the "no vent" spout than would ever be released to the atmosphere from the gas getting hot and evaporating a bit.Rant ended and actual review begins now. The vent is easy enough to install and works well. Now I just need to find a spout without the "no vent" crapola that spills gas all over the place.

Works as designed.
Installed under the grip of the gas container. Threaded the nipple with the supplied cable and tightened it with a open end wrench. Easy-peezy.

Just what I needed
First there is one other alternative I have used, a tire valve stem, with a valve cap but you have to chase down a proper drill and piece of wire. There are youtube videos on this. These "magicfour fuel" caps are complete with everything you need. Only drill empty plastic containers. I was concerned about the plastic debris going inside the tank but the drill when slowly drilled expels the plastic up and out of the hole. The only problem is when the drill starts to go through the plastic and it will draw the drill down into the container watch out for this or have someone hold the container while you hold the drill. Otherwise follow the directions. Bend the wire so it has about a 1/4 inch bend in it, slide the metal air vent with it's "o" ring on it and make a curve in the wire, then fish it in the drilled opening. This can be difficult but keep at it. Hold the metal vent so it does not slide off the wire into the container. Once you get it through the drilled hole, pull the wire with the vent/o ring on it into the hole so the vent sticks out. HOLD the wire and then slide the second O ring, then metal cupped washer, then nut on the wire. Hold the wire firmly while sliding the o ring washer and start the nut. Once it is started you can tighten it by hand then fish that wire out of the container going backwards out the big container opening. Use the small wrench to tighten firmly but not too tight as you can distort the o ring enough to have it unseat and distort out of the ring shape. You will see it sticking out under the metal washer oddly. loosen it if it is distorted and reseat it. You are good to go then. Don't forget to put the metal valve cap on the container. Will this be totally safe if the container is upturned, I don't know but suspect is would leak, I would always favor and be careful when moving these vented containers. I spill less fuel by using this air vent then with the stock spouts that now come with the containers now. I used the "scepter spouts" as they are longer and I can tip the whole container aligning the spout with the fill on a vehicle or equipment without spilling much. Oh btw you can leave the cap on the container until everything is lined up then open the vent to speed up the fill. Be careful as a full five gallon container can be difficult to hold and unscrew the air vent cap. Sometimes a finger over the vent opening helps to slow down the dispensing if needed. Just adding this vent while keeping the supplied spout is better than and with out a vent. Good luck and be careful fueling.

Brilliant! Must buy.
I upgraded the spout on all of my cans and wanted to add a vent. This worked perfectly. Just need a drill to install. Kit came with everything needed. Have used them with gas and diesel fuel. No leaking. Simple and easy!

Nice fix for newer style gas cans
I used these air vents for my unvented gas cans previously purchased. Huge difference pouring gas into my yard equipment. The flow is predictable and much faster than the gasp and sputter method of the new spouts. It also will keep moisture out of the container that is vital to storing gas for longer periods of time for seasonal use or emergency applications. The instructions are well written and installation took me about 5 minutes. Easy Peasy 👍
