Stays sharp and looks good, very durable
Stays sharp and looks good, very durable, dropped mine in the road and couldn't find it in the snow... 2 weeks later when the snow started melting, there it was and all I had to do was wash the tire marks off of it

It's a pretty little knife
It's a pretty little knife, very nice blade, but if I'd caught that it wasn't ambidextrous I wouldn't have bought it. I'm left handed and I never buy a knife that I can't open one handed with either hand. Just didn't look close enough. And I wish every knife was built so that the clip could be switched also.

its was a little smaller than expected but still perfect for pocket carry with out compromising practical function. the feel is of a really solid, well crafted knife. im not a knife collector by any means but ive had several pocket knifes and this on is clearly the best one i have owned

Was a Great little knife
Nice finish (wood and metal). Perfect everyday carry for utilitarian purposes, not self defense. Nice weight with a buck style, mirrored finish blade that is surgical sharp. Heavy duty pocket clip. Good value. You'll own it for a while.Revisit to my previous review. Was a great little knife but the blade actually snapped off while carving the eyes out of a pumpkin with very little effort/strain. Finished the job with my Gerber and its now cleaner than when I started. I wont knock the quality, maybe I received a 1 in a 100 defective item faulty tempering. Worked great up until then. I am considering buying a replacement same/knife.

I would not recommend this knife to others.
I bought this knife about a year ago and used it as your basic pocket knife, nothing too out of the ordinary. My first impression is it was a very handsome looking knife and felt good in the hand. That's kind of where my appreciation for this knife stopped. The easy open feature takes some getting used to, and you can almost forget about it being one handed opening. The exposed part of the blade, when closed, is too challenging to grip with a finger...it is possible, but challenging. This is a nuisance, but I didn't feel it was anything worth returning the product over...I would have to get used to using two hands once again. It's now been over a year since I've had the knife (BTW, I decided to buy another since I wasn't 100% happy with this one), but when I went to use it, the hinge is now lose. So lose, such that I have to fight with it every time to get the locking mechanism back into place to allow it to close....while not cutting myself. I have had it too long to return it, so now I have to live with it...and warn others about this knife.I would not recommend this knife to others.

Pros: This knife is made of high quality materials. The blade is firm and doesn't have any wiggle or play. It looks great too. It's a good size for a daily pocket carry.Cons: The pocket clip on the first knife I received did not hold tight against the knife body. I tried to remove the clip so I could bend it to be tighter, but the screw heads were stripped. I received a replacement knife through Amazon. The clip on the second knife was better and the screws were in good shape. But over time the clip, once again, became loose. Every once in a while the clip would catch on something and come out of my pocket.I have attached a picture of the first knife showing the gap between the clip and the knife body. The second knife wasn't as bad. But again, over time the clip would loosen and snag on stuff and eventually becomes unusable. You can't take the clip off regularly to bend it back in shape because the screws strip too easily.I have now gone through two of these knives. Unfortunately I will not purchase another SOG.

Best knife I've ever used under $50!
I absolutely love this knife! It is by far the best knife I've ever owned under $50.- Thumb stud is well positioned relative to the pivot for a beautiful opening action- Modified drop point keeps a strong rigid spine while slimming the size considerably- Durable materials used, stays in great working condition for several years with no careIf you're not looking to drop more than $50 on a knife, look no further, I've bought 4 more of them for presents already!
