A solid rechargable battery from Petzl
Bought this to go with and Actic headlamp (not the "core" model that included the battery). The battery, separate from the light was a MUCH better deal for the whole package. The battery is a really great idea since the design of the light allows the use of either AAA batteries (including Metal Hydride rechargeables) or this battery pack. The genius of the battery pack is in the built in USB charging connector. This is what makes the whole system outstanding. Particularly for situations where you're going to need to run the light for 8-12 hours (like in a LONG trail race late in the season.)I don't know what is wrong with the seller I got it from since they (TecTrove) seems to be calling this a bluetooth headset and it's clearly not. So maybe stay away from them, but totally buy this battery if you have the compatible Petzl models.

Great Accessory
Convenient. Charges quick. Powers headlamp without issue. Great for primary use with AAAs as an emergency backup. Saves money in the long run being rechargeable. No worries about battery leakage.

This is a good reliable product!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I already have a Petzl headlamp that uses this type of battery - my current battery is many years old and requiring more frequent charges. This new battery is its replacement.

Long Life Battery is worth it
Very impressed...The Petzl Accu Core battery has longer life than rechargeable Ni-Mh AAA batteries. How much more? 3 to 4 times more than other rechargeable AAA batteries after usage over the past couple of months.I work in somewhat harsh conditions; high humidity, salty air, 90-100F degree summer temperatures. I need bright directed light to work on electronics and wiring in awkward places under buildings and in attics. Petzl is the most durable product I have found. I have sweated gallons into Petzl and they endure like no others in their price class. The headlamp is around my neck or in use all day long at work, and at home for reading and hobbies.I was hesitant to get this Petzl Core battery because of the price. It’s basically the same amount I spend on the headlamps from Petzl. I’m glad I did! I recharge it once a week at most, usually it lasts up to two weeks for me. Where-as the Ni-Mh AAAs had to be replaced every two days. I have several sets of AAAs ready to go, cycling them in and out of the charger.I would highly recommend this to any moderate to heavy users of Petzl headlamps. The reliability and longevity are vast improvements worth paying for in my case.

Been using my original battery for over 4 years now.
I had purchased this battery when I purchased my Petzl Actik headlamp a little over 4 years ago. My headlamp is my go to flashlight so I have charged this battery hundreds & hundreds of times. This battery owes my nothing at this point. I use this battery for over 9 hours, on some days, and it still has more to give at the end of the day. I do charge it every night, even if it’s not dead, because I can not get 2 full days out of one charge. I use my headlamp on medium brightness and depending on how bright you have your lamp, will depend on how long your battery will last. I was real hesitant on buying both the headlamp & the battery because the cost up front seemed a little high but realistically it ended up saving me so much money by not having to purchase batteries. I ended up buying another set so I can have one at home too. Petzl makes a good product.

Don’t get stuck in the dark
I have used a Petzl Tactikka headlamp for the past twenty years for work. While I appreciate the fact that the when the battery is charged that it produces a vivid light on my Petzl Tactikka headlamp, be aware that it could leave you stuck in the dark. Unlike a regular battery that gives you warning of its impending demise by way of the light becoming dimmer, this rechargeable battery suddenly goes dark without warning when it runs out of juice. Mitigate this by charging often.

Works as planned
Does what it says it does. Glad to have a backup battery for my headlamp.

Lessens my dependency on triple A's.
Lost my headlamp after an NTC rotation, so needed to replace it. I'll probably find the old one later. Having a rechargeable headlamp is pretty excellent; I'll be chewing through a lot less triple A's. That being said, it's really nice to have the flexibility to use triple A's when not having the opportunity to recharge this battery. How's the battery life? Not quite sure yet. I usually go with lithium batteries for my headlamp for the extra life. So far, this battery is working pretty well. Haven't ran it dead yet, cause I pop it on a charger pretty often.I'll probably pick up another one of these. Fumbling in the dark with triple A's is an absolute pain, and they usually go dead at the most inopportune time. Only thing I wish this came with was some kind of small carrying case. Once I get a spare, it'll be kicking around in one of my pockets with all kinds of random stuff. I spend a good bit of time in pretty harsh field conditions, and it's pretty tough on equipment.
