Using headers can accommodate future changes.
Used these to interface to an Arduino. Changes can be made in the future if needed to acommodate wiring changes with new header without having to modify the Arduino. I keep some empty pins on the header to secure extra grip force when header is inserted into Arduino sockets.

Good supply of all the most common headers
It's a good assortment of headers, pins and sockets. This is for boards, not so much for cable-ends, though one could improvise a cable end connector with these. The only trouble with these is that for the female socket strips, cutting it down to size requires crushing and sanding away one of the sockets, but that's no fault of the product, it's just the way it works, and all similar products are the same way. They are cheap enough that I don't care, but I've seen people complain about it. I've used these in several projects and fixes, and they have performed wonderfully.

Female not breakaway
Female side does not breakaway cleanly as they are not pre-scored. You will lose a pin in the process. Scoring yourself helps, but not ideal. Male side works as intended.

Good deal.
If you're buying this you already know what these are and have seen them before.

These were the best prime deal at the time of purchase
These were the best prime deal at the time of purchase. The male pins separate pretty easily. The females I had to score with an xacto knife, and they worked out ok, but I wouldn't call the females breakaway. For every female section you break, you will end up losing 1 slot.
