Magnetic pole
Very strong magnet on base. Work a treat on my pop top campervan holding the tv aerial

It’s a pole. With a magnet. And that’s enough.
It’s a pole. And a magnet. And you can clamp stuff to it. In this case a booster antenna for a mobile router on a narrow boat. My partner and I both work from the boat and a strong signal is imperative and, until now, in relatively short supply. Enter the Kuma 450mm pole with magnetic base, replacing the 450mm rod antenna we used previously. It is a good quality piece of kit that does just what it needs to. The best bit? The signal has stabilised nicely and consistently compared to some Heath Robinson style rigs we have tried. It’s simple, relatively cheap and thoroughly recommended.

GREAT!
So good I purchased two! I was worried about the strength of the pole (don't it is thick strong plastic so not rust issues) and strength of the magnetic footing (don't as it is strong on my metal roof and stood 35mph winds with the combine weight of my cameras on). A++

Great item.
I needed a way to temporarily mount an antenna on top of a metal cabin, to give me wifi access inside. Outside the cabin is wifi all over the work-site, but inside my cabin (a metal box) the wifi is too weak (with the door closed the metal structure acts like a shield (a Faraday cage) to largelyblock the wifi unless we keep the door open).I need to be able to install the antenna but then remove it a few days later, I cannot use a permanent mount. This serves what I need very well. The base is a good size for stability, about 5inches (125mm) diameter. The magnet seems strong, certainly strong enough to do the job without being impossible to remove. The pole is about 25mm (1 inch) diameter, and once installed in the base, 17.5inches (450mm) tall.(I have seen some different answers given for the diameter of the pole, and the Product Page on Amazon current says it is 15mm).The pole that I have received is NOT made of grey water-pipe (and painted black) , it is thick-walled black PVC pipe and it is sturdy and rigid. There is one thing I do not like about this item. The pole is located into the base and secured with a very small-headed self-tapping screw. If you only need to set it up once, then that might be perfectly OK. I will need to assemble this and disassemble it a couple of times a month, if not every week. To get it easily into my luggage I do need to remove the pole each time.I will change the screw for a larger size that matches the screw-driver on my leatherman, so I do not need to carry a specific screw-driver with me always.I will keep an eye on it and if in time the screw is no longer biting, I might drill a hole straight through and replace the screw with a nut and bolt. It would certainly not be an insurmountable problem. So far this is the best reasonably priced option I have been able to find, and does just what I need.

Magnetic pole.
As I live on a barge , I wanted a pole that I could easily attach my aerial to and move around the roof without the need to drill holes..in this stand I found that.Arrived very quickly and easy to put together, sturdy and works perfectly. We'll worth the money. Mark

It's plastic
A little surprised to find given the price that it is made almost entirely of plastic. The base part that contains the magnet is partly metal but the pole and socket it plugs in to on the base are plastic. It's clear that the weight it can support will be quite limited. It's just about okay for my 4G aerial but I don't trust it with my TV aerial. The pole bends and it appears to put a lot of strain on the socket at the base which I fear will break.
