I bought it for my old HD598SE. works as expectedThis comes with a plastic thing that helped me remove the old earpad plastic ring which stayed in the headphonewithout removing it u cannot install the new earpad.

These earpads are 95% similar to the original one. I was having my doubts on the quality but they are nice.HD598 SE users go for it, even though their product description does not mention 598.These just extended the life of my 598s :-)
