Perfect for filling my pillow and pin cushion. Easy to insert (I made a small funnel out of stiff paper) and easy to clean up when I spilled some! I had read in some of the reviews that it's possible to get bugs in some shipments so I put mine unopened in my freezer for a week. I haven't had any bug problems at all.

Buckwheat pillows are just the best thing if you want your tired, sore neck to relax and let go so you can sleep. My neck is a source of serious tension. I've had slipped discs in my neck before and tried every orthopedic pillow out there. I'm only 42. I just have really hyper mobile joints. Well -- when your joints are hyper mobile, the muscles tense up to support them. Through a combination of the Mackenzie Method to strengthen the muscles (you'll never look back -- I swear it's a godsend) and a firm, supportive pillow/mattress combo -- no more major neck issues. Just the normal ones from time to time.You can spend the money to buy an expensive pillow, or you can buy some cheap ticking at JoAnn Fabrics and make your own out of this stuff. I even threw in some lavender buds I already had on hand to make it smell nice. 14 months later -- it still smells good. I have had to add a bit more buckwheat here or there, so put a zipper on your pillow so you can do that. I never had any issues with bugs, etc. I put the bag in the freezer for a few days before sewing the pillow and was good to go. I store the rest of the bag in the freezer in the meantime just because i have the room for it in there and I also don't want bugs to happen from leaving it out.If you make a pillow, expect a period of adjustment. I shape it and reshape it as needed throughout the night as i change position. It has changed my life. Who knew? I'm so stuck on it that I take it everywhere I go if I have to stay overnight.

Bought these as added filling for a buckwheat pillow. They're great. I have enough to start on a new pillow even. They were delivered quickly and intact.
