This was perfect for the cheap price. The drone was stuck in a tree for over 4 months, exposed to the weather and still worked when we finally got it out. I'm actually impressed.

My 10 year old picked this out. He has only used it a handful of times but, he seems to be able to do it himself, easy to do comes with a case.

4 stars because its a fun drone for kids but not for adults that want to fly their drone around a lake or over 3k feet and not worry about a wind gust. This drone is one wind gust away from losing control, but its really cool for the tricks it can do and makes a fun beginner drone. I am eventually going to get myself a real drone that can withstand wind gusts , travel 3k feet without losing control and 90 min battery.

It states in the description " Beginner Drone: 4DV13 drones for kids 14+ ... is specially designed for children and beginners to easily get started " and that is exactly what it is good for. I started to by a high dollar drone, glad I didn't. I purchased this one because it was a reasonable and in-expensive, and figured it would be a good starter drone to learn how to operate. Nor would I be upset if I broke it while learning how to use it. Glad I did.Easy start up and take off but not that easy to control. The first day I had it, I ran it into the wall trying to control it, But as of right now, its tougher than it looks. I don't play games, so the control pad is taking some time to get use to. The joysticks are very sensitive, and whether that is good or bad, I don't know. And it comes with a decent/ stylish case.So far, the only problem I have dealt with, The battery isn't very secure in the drone. If you fly into something, a wall, tree, TV, they fall out with a little bump.Also, you cant buy just a battery. You have to purchase the propellers, protective covers and battery all in one. Accessories already come with it and I don't want all that. I just want extra batteries.As a side not, go to a local retailer and buy a very cheap smart phone. Why would you want to use your high dollar phone with it and take the chance of dropping the controller/phone on the ground. I paid 30 for a phone to use with it. yeah might be a waste of money, but its better than taking the chance of dropping a 1300 phone, especially if you have to take it out the case.Update May 15, 2023.This drone turned out to be a POJ. After about 3 charges, 1.5 - 2 hrs flight time, one of the rotors has all but quit working. So now it won't even fly or take off. When it was operational, it would drift and pretty much do what it wanted to do. Very difficult to control. Couldn't get it to stabilize. Pic and video are ok. They don't look like they are 1080p to me, but i will let you decide that. **** I took these pics and Video holding drone since it quit flying, I was still trying to get the hang of using it before it took a crap. They are for you to review the quality**** This is the 2nd under $50 drone I purchased and it quit working. The first just didn't even work, different brand also. I played with a high dollar drone, $250+, yeah, big difference in quality and handling. This one is being returned and investing in a high quality drone, (DJI). Just my 2 cents.

For under 50 dollars you can't beat it the flight capability is awesome it's 3 speed modes are easy to use do to the load beeps it makes ... the phone interface really needs work though patches to the app or new development.. also my quad has 2 cams 1 front favoring and the 2nd downward facing but I cannot for the lifehi of me access the bottom cam... the video quality is not 1080p.. more like flip phone from the late 90s ..but all that aside it's a great Lil quad and my 1st ever so I'll fly it until it goes the way of the walrus and then I'll probably buy another it's that fun lol ... forgot to mention it comes with 2 battery's who fly for like 10 to 15 mins a piece depending on throttling and environmental of course

I have and had several drones. Always read the instructions each one has been a little different when setting up to fly or calibrate. I purchased this inexpensive drone for the lake I didn't want my $1000 drone taking a bath. The drone worked perfectly out of the box after set up. I made several flights over a week to get to know how it reacts. It was a perfect day for flying I was still doing some testing and as I had done before I hit the home button. The drone looked like it was going to return then it went up and flew away. I tried the emergency stop button and all of the controls were useless. I was watching the live video on my phone until it was out of range. The area I was flying in is in the middle of nowhere no AM or FM radio no TV cell service is 5 miles away so no interference. It was great for the price while I had it. Again this was probably my 10th drone I have never had one just take off like this. I use the type of batteries recommended by the manufacturer and change them often. The batteries in the controller were on their 4th flight. Needless to say it was not operator error. Which is sad I was going to buy another 1 for my nephew that is just getting into flying.. I won't buy this brand again.

Purchased this for my grandson on his 8th birthday. He loves it. Only problem if it gets lost, hard to find. I didn't think to put anything florescent so it was easy to locate in a field.
