After moving somewhere with very hard (and specifically iron filled) water a few years ago, my hair really began to suffer. It started breaking off like crazy, wouldn't (or couldn't) grow fast enough to make up for it, and anywhere my hair was color treated, the dye washed out and was replaced with a nasty bright orange color.I tried everything. Seriously, everything. The Malibu Hard Water kit did absolutely nothing for me, all it did was dry out my hair without actually removing what I needed it to. The filter I put on my showerhead wasn't able to block enough of the iron in the water to make a noticeable difference, no matter what brand I tried. There are only TWO products that have helped with the iron in my hair, and this is one of them.I've been using this shampoo for a few months now (I use it about once a week to try to make it last longer since it's so expensive, but I also only wash my hair twice a week, so every other time) and I've noticed a difference in the quality of my hair. While it's still more prone to breakage than it was before I moved here, it's softer and I don't have to clean my hairbrush as often. The most noticeable difference is that the bright orange iron deposits in my hair are gone now - it's just a faded, normal blonde color.I don't think my hair will ever get back to how it was as long as I'm using this water, but using this shampoo makes it bearable and I no longer feel like I'm under threat of losing literally all of my hair. If you're having issues with iron or other metals in your water affecting your hair, this is the shampoo you want. And if you're really desperate and need extra help, there's one more product that I've found to actually work among the many I've tried: Color Wow Dream Filter Pre Shampoo Mineral Remover.You spray it on your dry hair and wait a few minutes before getting into the shower and rinsing it off, but I usually leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Then you shampoo and condition like usual. This was the only product that worked for me at all before using this shampoo - it made my hair softer and noticeably less orange. The shampoo has been working so well that I haven't bothered to buy more of it and try the two of them together, but if you're in a serious situation with your hair and need help, get both of these products. They're the only ones that have worked for me out of everything advertised for it.(And as a side note, I always chose to purchase the Dream Filter Mineral Remover from Sephora to make sure that I was getting a genuine product. I buy a lot of things from Amazon, but if I read the reviews and get the hint that there might be illegitimate copies mixed into the product supply, I find it somewhere else. I bought the shampoo here because I didn't see anything to indicate that was the case, but you might want to go to Sephora for the other just to be safe. It's usually expensive beauty products that they do this with.)

I cannot even believe how great this shampoo is! Lot’s to say. First of all, it doesn’t take a ton, I have long hair, and it suds up very nicely and feels clean when using. The smell is of a light citrus scent and it washes out smoothly with no tangling and no hair loss like my other brand was doing. I never thought that it would be a shampoo I’d been using thinking that it was normal hair loss. But it was a ton of hair loss. I comb my hair before I shower to help with tangles and after I was done washing, a really small amount of hair in the basket and my hair was still smooth and very clean feeling. I also used the hard water mask that L’Oréal recommended an only had to use a small amount, unlike my other mask and ran a comb through it. It didn’t even need that because there was no tangles to comb out! I left it on while I was shaving and then rinsed it out and my hair was even softer. No heavy residue left or heavy scent. I then used their leave in conditioner and put on the ends. Not much needed and it combed out perfectly! The scent of the leave in is a bit heavier than the shampoo and mask and using the three together has made a huge difference. I wash every 3 to four days depending and it doesn’t loose its shine or feel and doesn’t buildup. I have had the best luck finding great things from Amazon and I love the information given on items and reading through the reviews. I wear my hair in a high pony for yoga and this product leaves no frizz and no dryness and feels like it’s been washed and cut by the salon. I really hope that this helps you with your decision. It’s absolutely the best and I’m never going back.

I purchased this along with the pre-shampoo treatment, the conditioning mask, and the conditioning cream. After looking up specifically how to use them all I finally did my hair treatment last week and was amazed. I have long curly frizzy hair which tends to be dry. After using these products I blew my hair out straight and it was silky soft in a way I’ve never felt it. I used them on my daughter last night and blew her hair out and she loved how her hair felt and also loved the scent. We have hard well water and even though we have a water softener system I still feel like the water is hard and my hair always feels so dry and frizzy. I plan to use these once a week and hope my hair will get healthier and have less breakage. They are a little pricey but I don’t mind since they made my hair feel so amazing. On top of that you don’t need to use a lot of product. I probably have to use more than most people because my hair is long and I have a lot of it but still the shampoodid lather up nicely using only a little over a quarter coin size amount. Highly recommend for anyone with hard water.

Works well. My softener ran out of salt so my water had gotten hard and my hair felt awful. After using this (and the conditioner) my hair was soft and looked and felt so much better. My gray hair looked shiny again. Not as good as the treatment I get at the salon but works well in between

Holy cow this shampoo is amazing!!!! My hair has felt so weighed down, oily and stringy. I have tried several different shampoos and nothing really seemed to get my hair clean. This did it. My hair feels transformed and actually clean. My hair is shinny and not dry or damaged looking after one wash. I have thick, wavy color treated hair. I used the pink shampoo in this line and it worked for a while then just seemed to stop. I am so happy with this specific product and cannot recommend enough. My only con is the smell is not my favorite but I think I’ll get use to it, it’s not bad just more masculine than I prefer.
