Plants are thriving...
This is a nice space saver. The planters come with a hole in the front left corner, also supplied are little silicone plugs. At first the drain hole got stopped up with soil so we had to clean it out and put down little screens with small gravel, over the holes. Then the problem truly became apparent, the holes were too small to handle Southern rainstorms. The planters became immersed in water while slowly draining. My husband drilled slightly larger holes on the left corners.Looking at the dynamics, it appeared that the left side would get the most watering, and my Husband again got out his trusty drill and made a hole in the front "Right" corner of every other planter and I plugged the left hand hole on that planter. The theory being that the water would have to saturate the soil across the width of the planter to the other corner in order to drain to the next one below it.All the planters are thriving. I was absolutely amazed at how fast the lettuce sprouted, it seemed overnight. This is my first attempt at lettuce so I have no way of knowing if this is the norm. The planters do not seem deep enough for "root" vegetables like regular-sized carrots, beets, etc... It should work great for strawberries or even beans or zucchini... I've even purchased more to try ground cherries & peppers, herbs, actually the skies the limit on what you can grow in these, being able to place them anywhere that meets the light requirements but not having the room to put in raised beds. Now to business, they are well made (accept the need for slightly larger holes in addition to a screen & small gravel to hold it in place), sturdy and easy to assemble. They have a metal lip for each planter to hook on to for stability and they were delivered quickly.I hope you have much success with your garden.

Outland Living Garden Bed
This is one heavy duty plant / garden bed, It was not as easy to assemble as they say. But when we got it together, it is beautiful. The little woman has all her plants and spices potted. I did increase the size of the drainage holes to 3/8 of an inch. We also put some rocks and screen in the bottom to help promote drainage.

one small drainage hole in each...
The product arrived in a flat square box, lighter than I thought it would be and was easy to assemble by myself. The surprise was that there is only one very small drainage hole in each tray, on one side. Just one, the width of which is smaller than a pipe cleaner. You stack the trays so that the water from the top drains to the ones below and this is why it’s an ideal set up for someone who may want to do this on a balcony or you can even, supposedly, use it indoors. They give you small plugs to stop up the drainage holes if you need. Overall, this system is probably best if your planning on planting something that requires moisture and not plants that need good drainage as there’s no way that one small hole at one end will drain the moisture for the entire length of the tub. I had to change my plans about what I was going to plant in it as many of the herbs I use wouldn’t do too well in an overly saturated environment. I’ve got strawberries in there now, and some mint which are more moisture tolerant. And I wouldn’t try to put any drainage holes in it unless you know what you’re doing as it’s the kind of plastic that is hard and could shatter. Nevertheless, for now, I like it. I have it outdoors so the sun can help w some of that excess water, it’s off the floor so I don’t have to bend as much and it gives me lots of options in a small vertical space. You just have to keep in mind that it’s probably better for some plants and not others.

Great design, easy assembly
I have been buying tiered planter shelves as I'm expanding my plant collection over the past year. This one showed up in my Amazon search results only recently and looked promising. There were no other reviews and I was a little bit hesitant, but I decided to give it a try.The assembly is a breeze. A screwdriver is needed. The shelf is only 3 parts and it took me only 5 minutes to assemble. At first, I thought the wire racks that hold the pots looked a bit flimsy, but the pots are actually quite secure after being installed properly. The pots can still be easily removed after installation, in case you need to move the entire planter. The drain holes are designed such that the water on the upper shelves would cascade towards to the lower ones. If you're using it indoors, it comes with a plug that can be placed on the bottom-most drain hole. One of the plastic pots came with a small crack on it though. It doesn't affect the functionality so I decided it was not worth the hassle to exchange it.Looks great against the wall. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase! Would buy again when I'm getting more plants.

Great for patios! Really nice looking too!
This went together very easily. It is perfect for small places like patios etc. I planted lettuce, herbs, etc in mine and it seems pretty sturdy while full of dirt and after a watering. It also looks really nice and well made, not cheap. My favorite part is the waterfall style draining, the drain holes are above the next container down so you just have to put a small container under the very bottom container to catch extra water. I have neighbors below me so I cant have water dripping down there. They also come with silicone plugs if you needed them completely plugged. It does wobble just a little if you push it, but overall is very sturdy and wouldn't fall over or anything.I'd definitely recommend this, it's a little pricey but worth it since there's really nothing else like it on the market (I looked everywhere).
