I've tried every sort of shaving cream (gel, etc.), and I keep coming back to this. It doesn't gunk up a razor, and it preps the face super fast. It's like lotion. It doesn't take much (a dime size squirt) to get the job done. One container lasts me a few months. I remember the good ol' days when Dollar Shave Club made good, affordable razors and a few other quality products. Those days are long gone. Thankfully, this classic remains the same.

I’m not usually a 5-star guy. I never thought I’d find a shave gel that I’d like better than King Of Shaves. Decided to buy this when I saw its ad when buying some DSC blades. Wow, very slick, even after a couple of draws of the razor across the same area of the face. Translucent/nearly transparent, so I can avoid chopping off my sideburns too short, etc. Even in our hard water, this stuff rinses clean. No skin tightness after drying off, face is supple and soft as a baby’s butt, but smells better. The fragrance is light and doesn’t linger. Good job, DSC.

Love this stuff! Would never go back to conventional shaving cream. It is so smooth that it has reduced my bumps and breakouts to nearly nothing. It is clear so that I can easily shave around my beard and know exactly what I’m gonna get. I highly recommend this stuff.

I was hoping this product would have a lot of Shea Butter in it? It doesn't. The Shea Butter makes all the difference when shaving. I used it with my old school safety razor and it worked very well in the shower. Plus, it's very easy to use. I used it with my straight razor and the verdict is mixed. I did bleed a little. I'm happy with the purchase.After using this several times I changed my overall rating to 4 stars. I especially like using it in the shower. It's perfect for the shower and definitely gives a close shave. The only thing that I wish was better is the fragrance, or lack of? They need to come up with some pleasing fragrances. That will help sell the product. If they improved the fragrance, I'd probably have to get rid of my old school shaving creams. Sorry, I like the smells.Update again, another issue is that to get a smooth gliding shave you need to use a good palm full of product and that makes it fairly expensive. If you use a lot you do get smooth close shave, but it will cost you.Last thing, it burns your face more than others like Taylor's. But, it's fast.I ended up giving it to my wife and went back to Proraso and Cella. This product clogs up my DE too fast and it's hard to get out.

Terrific product!Doesn't load my razor, and I still get a really close shave.My whiskers are very coarse, and I have a full beard. Because this is clear, I can shave where I need to, and not where I don't.Fully recommend it.

I have used many products over the years to shave. I tried many shaving creams and my beard is coarse and I would cut myself often and same thing with an electric razor. I have used this product pretty much when it was introduced. I highly recommend it. It's a nice smooth shave and it's moisturizing as well. It helps get a nice clean close shave with less cutting. I will not use anything else!!
