it works great!
We've had this for almost 3 months now, and it works great! Background: I have thin, fine shoulder-length blond hair; my husband has short, thick dark hair. We owned a Hot Tools hair dryer for about 8 years before it finally showed signs of dying. We decided to upgrade, but with the same brand that had served us so well.Pros: Very lightweight; very quiet; has a rubberized exterior, so no slipping on the countertop; hot temp and medium speed do a great job drying my hair; dries quicker than my old dryer; cord is plenty long; sleek, attractive design.Cons: took longer than expected to arrive.Other: Took some getting used to to position our hands to hold it without changing settings. I got used to it quicker with my small hands, because I could position my fingers in between the buttons; my husband took a little longer, but no longer has issues. You just have to get used to where the buttons are located. All in all, I think you will be very happy with this dryer

Great hair dryer, at a great price!
I am very pleased with this hair dryer. I was searching for a good hair dryer with a diffuser attachment, as I have naturally curly hair and need the tourmaline in order to dry my hair quickly without causing frizz, and the diffuser to keep my curls intact. This works perfectly. They attachments seem solid, and do not easily detach from the dryer. It is relatively light-weight on its own, and is easy to handle. The cord is much longer than previous hair dryers I've had, so I'm not as restricted. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

They'll be a hot time, in the old town tonight....
I had another dryer by the same company and it's performance was less than stellar. But Holy Heck. This dryer is one power horse. It dries fast and it is incredibly light despite the ridiculously long cord that you could skip rope with. I'm very glad I bought this dryer. The speed of drying, the diffuser and multiple speeds/heats available and the happy bonus of your arm not dropping off because the hair dryer is to heavy to hold up, makes this item a winner.

A lemon. Extremely disappointed.
I got it two days ago, (Dec 3rd, 2015) but I wished I had bought this item somewhere else or even a different brand...So you know and be ware: This blow dryer came inside the box, but bagged & not properly compartmentalized as I have seen in stores before and with other hot tools items I have previously purchased. I used it tonight on my daughter's long and beautiful hair. I set it to Medium heat with the defuser. It lasted half way through (About four minutes) and then it stopped heating suddenly. I have waited a few minutes but it will not heat, only cold air comes out. I think from the packaging, this blow dryer must have been refurbished. I am returning this lemon ASAP. A total waste of my precious time and money, though pricing was probably too good to be true.

Mediocre dryer
Unfortunately, it is not as powerful as I expected. I guess 2000 stand for something else not watts. However, I still kept it because it has all the stylers that I need and the ion system works very well. Hair does feel very smooth and silky after drying. And it is super light. So if you don't mind spending a bit more time drying your hair it will work for you.

Decent dryer for hair types between fine and course
A hair dryer is an important tool to invest in, and I recommend researching different brands based on your hair type. I have fine, oil-proned, straight hair.I went with this Tourmaline dryer, because tourmaline emits infared heat and negative ions, which means the heat is more gentle on hair, and produces less frizz. Having fine hair means you are susceptable to damage if not properly taken care of. My biggest concern was finding a dryer that wasn’t too powerful, and had different heat options.Pros: It’s not overly powerful so it helps retain moisture in your hair during drying. This dryer has 3 settings for heat, which is perfect for fine hair. It’s lightweight, easy to hold, and comes with different styling attachments. It’s also not very loud, and the buttons stay in place when using. I don’t have a problem accidentally switching it off or on another setting. No frizz either, after styling.Cons: it only 2 settings for speed. (As most do) however when using it on high, the dryer tends to make my hair tangled, and difficult to brush. The low setting then isn’t powerful enough. Sometimes I have to use the comb attachment to combat the hair tangling. This was my biggest concern when shopping around; my hair needs a dryer that won’t make my strands fly all over the place and get tangled easily. It’s pretty annoying to deal with.Overall, I think this would be a good dryer for normal hair, not too course or thick. But the lightweight body, and different heat settings make it a decent purchase.

AMAZING!!!!
I LOVE this blow dryer. My hair is thicker than a lot of people's and I used to hate to dry my hair as it took 30 minutes with conair, my hair would feel coarse and the dryer took forever, not to mention static. My hair is naturally wavy but this was dried using none of the attachments that came with. It's shiney, soft to the touch, dries in 6 minutes, YES 6 minutes static and fly away free for the most part. You won't regret your purchase.

I had this product and it was great for a couple of years
I had this product and it was great for a couple of years. I dropped it a few times and it cracked so for safety, I decided to order a new one. The one that showed up was slightly different did not seem as strong so I contacted the company and they changed their award winning product from 1875 to 1600 watts. Amazon's product description still says 1875, when HOT TOOLS (Helen of Troy) told me it's 1600 watts. Now it's a few months later and I see that the HOT TOOLS website shows 1875 Watts. Inquire before you buy this product so you are sure you know what you are getting. At 1875 watts it was a great product. It is not nearly as good at 1600 watts.
