California Costumes Brown Apocalypse Dreads Wig

I like this wig, but here's the things you should know:It fits a bit larger than most wigs. This is good for me, because most wigs run a tad small for me. This wig runs a little large on me. Thus, if most wigs fit you well, this wig might be a bit too big for you. However, that can be fixed if you sew the inner portion in a tuck or pleat. (pro trick) If Most wigs are too small to wear, you might be able to wear this wig.Personally, too big is always better than too small.It's got some haze to it. (a bit of frizz) with will need to be trimmed around the face to avoid driving you mad. Not a big deal.It has a lot of the strands pulled back to the crown to form a bump. I wanted a more natural look, and I was able to easily pull the strands out of this top knot without any trouble. They then fell a bit too much in my face, so I pulled (a much fewer number) back and pinned them in place and got the look I wanted.I had to use a LOT of pins to get the wig stable, because it is slightly too big and quite heavy.The colors are very nice. I know it says brown, but actually it's mostly ginger, blonde and a few brown/black strands.

For the price, this wig made a surprisingly nice accessory to my Pirate costume. Nice and thick (cannot see the under-webbing). I liked the three tone colors and the dreads mixed wtih the straight hair.To kick it up a notch, I threaded individual antiqued metal beads onto some of the strands of hair and attached a few strings of smaller beads into the wig as well. Used a Pirate-esque black "buff" (headband) over the bangs and under the dreads to add another layer of visual detail to my character and also helped snug the wig to my head. Wore this wig to two different parties for several hours at a time.. very comfortable, no real issues with slipping or needing constant adjusting.

This was the perfect wig for my Steam Punk costume. It was good quality and really added a nice touch. I almost didn't wear it but I received so many compliments on it that I'm really glad I did. I had to bobby pin my hat to it to get it to stay since the wig made my head to big around to fit my hat. That ended up looking better anyway. The elastic on my goggles was enough to keep it firmly mounted to my head. The colors were perfect with my maroon and gold costume. I wish I'd been this happy with all the costumer wigs I've bought over the years.

This wig looks great in pictures, but it is super Shiney and you can tell it's fake from a mile away. I've worked with several wig styles and types, thia one is costume cabaret quality. I haven't tried styling it or even attempted brushing it out yet, maybe it will help? But it looks like I'll have a room full of hair instead.

I did not realize this was a costume wig. It's a fun cool looking wig. I suppose it would be fun to wear for a-couple of months, here and there.Avg fit. fits good, think it would fit large also. The auburn, browns and blondes are really great and the twisted dreads are also great. I would love this wig if it was a remy or capless wig for like $35.00.

I am going to a Mad Max themed Halloween party and thought I would give this wig a shot. The price was low, shipping was fast and it looks great on me. I am really excited to wear this to the party.

Though it came with the goggles - it does not. Standard costume wig. Not bad looking, but for me too much with out the goggles. Knot on top more pronounced without something in front to bend it.

I never expect a wig to look as nice as the picture on the package, but this one seemed a lot messier and more "sparse" than even I was expecting. It's going to take some heavy styling, accessorizing, and customizing to be able to wear it without being embarrassed. The fit was fine though, and I can't feel too upset due to the low price.

Nice wig for fancy dress, do not buy if you intend to use it for anything else, as the hair is very orange and fuzzy.
