so these can NOT get wet/damp moistThey explode. literally the lead expands and blows the wood into a slit out mess.Left one out in the rain overnight and came back and it had split into an unrecognizable soggy mess.also the lead is very very thin/weak. it doesnt hold up long AT ALL. within a few strokes, it needs to be sharpened again.I used it on mostly clean or primered steel.they are fantastically cheap but once these are gone, i will never buy them again. i advise sticking to soapstone or paint pen or sharpie.fail

My son goes to welding school and we buy these in bulk to help have them at this class so all the students can use them if they forget theirs excellent product. Cheap and use to to get well worth the money.

Not the best
The colored "lead" breaks constantly, a hassle, for sure

Lousy product!
I’ve tried two different pencil sharpeners and these pencils are made of some sort of man made material that nearly stops the crank on both of them. They grind off center, and the “lead keeps breaking off in the sharpener. Absolute junk. I have never had these problems with any other silver pencil for more than the last forty years. These are JUNK. Don’t waste your money! One star is 4 stars too many!
