K&N Engine Air Filter: High Performance, Premium, Powersport Air Filter: Fits 1999-2009 YAMAHA (YZF R6S, YZF R6) YA-6001

I have always been a Fan of the K&N Products and I have used different types of K&N Air Filters for many years now. I have recently purchased this Filter to install in My 05 Yamaha YZF-R6 Street Bike and I would have to say that the Overall Performance level that is Awesome. The Bike actually feels like a whole other Bike now and it has much Faster Acceleration, with no Hesitation at All. The Filter Fit Perfectly and was very easy to install it right out of the packaging. Then I also like the fact that the K&N Air Filters will last for many years if You take care of them. If it would happen to become Dirty or anything else of that matter, Then just wash it out carefully and then spray it out with the K&N Air Filter Cleaner Oil and reinstall it once it dries.

good product very sturdy

I already had heard that K&N made great products. But I never bought any of them till I foundmine at a very resonable price on Amazon, much cheaper than the auto parts stores and I checked them ALL. I dropped it into my Yamaha R6 and all I can say is that I have a brand new bike. Much faster off the line as well as top end power and going thru less gas while at it too. If you can find one that will fit your ride find it here add to cart then check out period. Easy install came with instructions and some K&N stickers to throw on my bike as well. Great product, I have bought quite a few K&N products and have been very satisfied with the performance of them. My bike did loose a small amount of horse power but it gained breathability and it is also a lot easier to clean then the standard air filter. The only complaint I have with the product is that within the air box its a tighter fit because the seal on the K&N is a bit thicker, but since its rubber you can still tighten everything down how its supposed to be.

I love K&N air filters but this one was just a little to big for the air box on my 2005 Yamaha R6. It took some trimming and pressure to get it in but worth it compared to the stock filter.

Super well built air filter. Comes lubed with built in air box gaskets so don’t got to reuse to old trashy one that breaks. Make sure to cut the access rubber like it says in instructions or could fall into throttle bodies
