Worked very well, although it had some scarey and disgusting moments!
We were understandably skeptical about this product. However, we were also very concerned about using a plumber again, which costs us over $150. The last time he also made us sign a release form to snake our bathroom sink. The reasoning was, being that the plumbing is very old, and had probably been subjected to numerous snakings, as well as caustic drain cleaners, the old pipes or joints could crumble and incur an libelous expense. We were not happy about that prospect, as a nearly 100 year old house like ours would require some serious floor and wall demolition. Our bathroom has a problematic sink, and tub. We have been using a $3 plastic snake to remove hair from the bathtub frequently now, and that has worked great for over a year or so, so we have not needed to snake that for a while. Unfortunately, that tool does nothing for the sink. We applied the product as required to the sink, and after day three, it seemed to run a little better. On that day, I was taking a shower, and the water started to back up in the tub, and then stopped flowing completely, creating 2-3 of standing water. Oh Fudgecakes! I figured the gunk had dislodged from the sink drain, and caused a clog at the junction. I ran some hot water in the sink, and it seemed to be flowing a bit better, I left it running. I got out the plunger, held a very wet washcloth over the overflow inlet on the tub, and started plunging away. Oh my.... seriously black gook started to come out into the tub from the drain, and out of the overflow! It kept coming out, and invaded the standing water like the Supernatural episode with the release of the Leviathans into the water supply! I stood back, and watched it spread, semi-panic stricken, and was thankful that she was not home. She would have freaked, it was truly disgusting. The water in the sink was still running hot water down the drain, as I continued to watch this horror invade our tub! Then, all of the sudden, the black ick started to flow back down the drain, and I heard a draining sort of noise! When the standing water was nearly drained, I then ran a lot of hot water down the drain in the tub, while also running the sink. After several minutes, the tub was flowing better than it had in a while, and the sink was also draining completely with no slowdown! I still had to clean the tub out for a while, but wow! It worked! My oly regret s that I did not take a video of the whole invasion of the black gook, and how it then receded back from whence it came. It would have been great B-Roll!. So, in summary, best $11.00 we have spent in a while! We will continue to treat both drains once a month, and hopefully, we will not have to burn hard earned money with the plumber for this problem. Give it a whirl, just know that you might have to lend a helping hand, and it could get gross!

Eco is a plus but at a price
This is a 3 DAY TREATMENT! We live in a 1 bed, 1 bath apartment… how are we not supposed to use our bathroom sink or tub/shower for 3 consecutive days??? The idea is there but as is, this product cannot compare to Draino. Not even close. I’m trying to make more eco friendly choices in our household & this was just a big disappointment.

Not sure about it.
So I have been having problems with bathroom drains in the house not moving very fast. I have used draino, and many other ones that I have purchased. The issue is that my cleanout drain is in the middle of one of the closets in the house. Yeah, I know that is a very stupid place for it. There was suppose to be one outside, but I can not find it. So I read about this drain opener. I liked the way that it was suppose to work. It would eat the grim in the pipe. So yesterday (Friday) I did the first treatment. It appears to have helped the one sink. The other sink, well I am not sure about yet. So I put the second day in the bathtub. It does not appear to have helped at all. Or very little. The instructions states that you are to put hot water down the drain before you use the product. Then put a spoon full into warm water and put it down the drain. I have done that for two days. The one issue that I am having is that it does not dissolve in water very well. So when you are done with it, you have a large amount of it left in the bottom of the cup.So you end up making a second batch (from what is already in the cup) and pouring it down the drain. I have been leaving it for over 7 hours before I use the shower or sinks again. So today, I put the teaspoon right in the drain and then followed it wiht a warm water chaser. It does appear to have helped a little more, but still not having a normal drain. The drain does work (very slow) but it does go down.So not sure if I am doing something incorrect, or the junk that is down there is way stronger then what this product will work with. Any suggestions would be wonderful..

THE SOLUTION WAS WORSE
A few years ago, I had a problem with a toilet on the first floor, and a plumber had to come to flush the main. So that it would not happen to me again, I bought this product. I started flushing it in the toilet on the second floor, for several days; according to the instructions. Over time this toilet began to give me problems. It discharged slowly. And I used this product again. But it didn't work out. When the plumber came, he had to flush the toilet; because it was the pipe. He told me that he had never seen anything like it. In the pipe he found a gelatinous substance. And at the base of the affected toilet, as if they had put cement on it. It took a lot of work to uncover it. I have three Indodors. And only in which I poured this product I had the problem.

Hopeful
My drains were not clogged when I 1st use this. I live in an Apartment and have been a victim of flooding (due to drain direction) long story. Anyway, when this occurred that time it was 1st noticed by my kitchen sink being full of bubbles. Last week I again had bubbles and panicked. Our maintenance man poured a product into the drain and I have had no further problems. I decided there must be a way to avoid all this by just keeping the drainage area clear. Hence, my purchase. I immediately used it upon arrival, very easy (wish I had owned a cup to hold the entire application but used 2 instead and still no problem. My plan is to use this once a month as directed and can only say for now that no new event is a good event. I'm thankful for the peace of mind this product provides since for now, everything is bubble free.
