Hitman The complete first season Steelbook edition at last on one disc! the DLC are a nice touch and a welcome 'Gift' from square enix in particular the "Blood Money" white suit, gun and duck! the levels are lavish and beautiful detailed as you expect with that nice 'Sandbox' option (same as the much-loved Blood money game.) giving you the option of approaching each task differently, I spent a lot of time exploring each level minutely--listening to the AI population going about their business, nosing around rooms and buildings as well as filling up my "Magic Pockets" with various potential weaponary and distractions. As i completed each level i went back and had a laugh utilising equipment for a variety of killings/accidents (seeing folk leaning over the railings be it at the Italian harbour, balconies, etc is sourly tempting, dropping explosives down chimney pots is quite amusing..and so on.) as you expect the garrot wire is a chief implement for those quiet takedowns, like 'Absolution' and 'Blood Money' you can drag and stuff corpses in various lockers, rooms and wardrobes etc to hide your handiwork, but sometimes leaving a carefully laid out dead henchman is an ideal attraction as a means of adding to the body count. the game system is good to handle and easily understood and the first level is ideal to "Settle" into the game play. there are like 'Absolution' challenges to complete (though not mandatory) for each level padding out the gameplay nicely, though personally i like to find inventive ways to rub out various henchmen, guards and awkward citizens and this game continues this 'Tradition' as a good Hitman game should do. Despite the negative earlier episodic DLC reviews I appreciate the hard work and detail put into this game and recommend a purchase of this game for the Hitman enthusiast, Enjoy!

Offline mode is very lacking but it’s still fun!
I really enjoy this game, frustrating though it may be. Major downside is that they put so much emphasis on playing this online. They have removed the most basic of reasons to play Hitman - the scoring! Unless you’re online you won’t get a score or a kill count or the usual pop ups that tell you if you made a headshot or whatever. This is annoying, I don’t see why my experience should be so much less because I don’t have the internet. You don’t get any challenges included on the disc so you can’t unlock anything, all weapons, suits and stash points and other starting locations are forever locked. I get that it was online when initially released but if they’d even included one challenge per level so you could get one new weapon when completed it would have been a nice touch. That said I have had this game for over a month and I’m still enjoying it. Yes, I only have access to the basics, but it doesn’t matter. The game has so many different ways to be played with limited levels so if you have the internet I can only imagine the hours you could put into this. The AI is fun and reacts to you better than previous games which is annoying when it’s clever enough to figure out where you are after shooting someone and surround you with guards! You may experience glitches, I have had a few but they’re not major. There are plenty of save opportunities. The game automatically saves at random points (it seems to do it every 4-10 mins depending on what alert mode the npc ‘s are) plus there are manual save points you can use. Whether online or not I suggest using a manual save any time you accomplish something you’ve been aiming to do (like killin a target) because if you don’t you may regret it when killed. If you liked Absolution this is a major step up from that and a lot more fun. I am still discovering things in all the levels I didn’t know existed and I look forward to many more hours of gameplay to come.Buy it - you won’t regret it!

Holds up to its predecessors and more.
Hitman is truly one of those games I grew up with. I can remember playing Blood Money with my brothers on the PS2 trying to work out the best way to kill the target without a trace (and inevitably failing). Curtain call was my favourite. So its suffice to say I have a little bias for the Hitman series. But does this game hold up to the legend? I believe so.The entire first season of Hitman includes 6 separate locales with many targets in each to pacify/eliminate, be it with a baseball bat or fibre wire, or just a plain old exploding golf ball. I truly can say as the first season this is a game I highly recommend. Almost all locales are fantastically well made to my standard and I had a lot of fun playing this game working out the best way to complete this (My favourite is Sapienza, Italy).Thank you IO Interactive, this is a great game. I look forward to season 2 with baited breath.
